sh3-rg #3 Posted March 1, 2015 Maybe someone conversion: Battle Squadron one http://cope-com.com/battlesquadron/ maybe source code cope-com <=> Jaguar coders? They replied to you a few weeks ago on the page you linked to: February 11, 2015 at 11:17 Currently it does not seem possible. It would require a huge amount of recoding in order for the game to run on those devices. They know their own game best. No doubt highly targeted to Amiga custom hardware. +Cobra Kai #5 Posted March 1, 2015 It's a rather cheap game to acquire CIB on the Genesis.
NeoGeoNinja #6 Posted March 1, 2015 It's a rather cheap game to acquire CIB on the Genesis. Apparently, it's somewhat inferior to the Amiga original though. Just watched a video of this on the linked site. Looks dull, average and somewhat boring. The pacing is waaay off. 5-6 minute stages of slow moving enemies, basic movement/attack patterns with minimal change of scenery etc. Didn't have the sound on (missus is watching Netflix stuff!) but think you're better off sticking with Raiden tbh. The Japanese know how to make their shoot em ups (and fighting games). The US/UK/Euro/West. however, aren't too good at it. I do like the Silkworm/SWIV series though... It is a very dull shmup, and I'm not sure just how inferior to the Amiga version it is. What I mean is that it probably doesn't matter if it is inferior, being such a typically abstract, dull, boring, and exceedingly difficult game. If the goal is to play Battle Squadron just get the Genesis/MD version. Or, if the goal is to wish upon the Jaguar every game ever made, then beg for it's conversion. Why? Who knows. Felyx #8 Posted March 1, 2015 (edited) It looks very similar to Raiden Trad. I am not criticizing, just a personnal preference but I would prefer the release of something like Native. Edited March 1, 2015 by Felyx

Or, if the goal is to wish upon the Jaguar every game ever made, then beg for it's conversion. Why? Who knows. Hahaha! Very true. Ever since CJ converted those ST games, everyone wants everything converted for use on the Jaguar. Speaking of which: Hey CJ! Why haven't you converted DoDonPachi to the Jaguar yet? Why CJ? Why you no bring convert DoDonPachi of Jaguar CJ?!
+CyranoJ #10 Posted March 1, 2015 The Megadrive version is total plop. If you want to play it, but not on an Amiga, the Android port is great! Battle Squadron is one of the best shmups around.
