Nebulon #1 Posted March 5, 2015 Does anyone know of an emulator that allows for mapping the vertical axis on the Discs of TRON spinner? I tried MAME32. It seems to support everything except mapping keys for moving the cross-hairs up and down.
goldenegg #2 Posted March 6, 2015 (edited) Ignore my original reply. I had a complete brain fart BTW, MAME has properly supported this game since it was added. You need to map the controls in the 'THIS GAME' settings. Edited March 6, 2015 by goldenegg
schuwalker #3 Posted March 8, 2015 I have never been able to find a *suitable* controller configuration for this game. The panel on the arcade was perfectly spaced for controls: Spinner - moving cursor side to side and up and down in the latter levels; shield button. Too bad, I played an EDOT quite a bit on location. +Tarzilla #4 Posted March 8, 2015 Back when MAME first came out or more specifically when it started supporting DoT, I had a Wingman Warrior Extreme joystick. I was able to configure it perfectly to handle the spinner, including using the hat to pull the spinner up and down, joystick to move, fire and block. It stopped working after several so upgrades, I wonder if there is a similar joystick available now. These guys talk about the joystick, I haven't read the whole thread to see if they suggest replacements. http://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?t=31066
