easy Parsec question

Did Parsec use the standard TI joysticks, or were there paddle controllers or something else needed to play the game?

(I have the 2600 standard joystick and am looking to buy the Atari joystick adapter cable to play.)

Standard TI joysticks. There were never TI paddles, per se--although there were analog joysticks to use with the MBX.

Standard joysticks (Atari interface works with the adapter).

 

Also you can use Emulators on PC with USB Joysticks (Classic99 or V9T9, or using MESS, see also http://www.globeron.com/freedownload/TI99EmulatorsMESS.mp4

And don't forget to adjust your speed when refueling. You'll get waxed every time.

 

I like to use 2 on the easy ones and 1 on the tougher ones. Careful using 1 though... If you need to make a quick move to avoid a peak, you won't have the juice.
