NIAD
I just checked on eBay and none of the P.S. solutions I posted about in Post #20 seem to be available anymore. Here is the link to the last one I could find: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 261838685185

tonyankyfan1
I spoke to the guy in Germany, he was not able to ship it into the USA. =((((((((((
AtariBrian
I think the guy that sells those is that nut job Retromod guy that showed up here over a year ago with his horrible sounding mods .
AtariBuff
Don't know (and frankly don't care) if this is the same guy from here or he is a 'nut job' but I bought three power connectors from an auction identical that Jim posted and they work (and look) like a charm. berighteous
Late to the party... I have 5 CV's and only one working power adapter (and two bad ones) I'm in the US (western colorado). Any afordable solutions apart from using a $25 arcade power supply and hacking the connector?
phoenixdownita
If you're crafty and don't mind soldering all you need is 3 el-cheapo AC-DC converters and you can make it yourself (+12V 1A, +5V 2A, +5V 1A) and it's all inside the Coleco once done. (+12V if for +12, +5V 2A is for +5 and +5V 1A is for -5V [just connect the - with -5V and the + with GND]) Total cost of material is around 10-12US$ but it takes around 1H once you have all the parts (case mod excluded). berighteous
got a link to instructions?
phoenixdownita
Didn't need. The CV power brinck lists what voltage goes where in the connector, once you have that translating into internal wiring is very simple. Regarding using the 3 el-cheapo AC-DC, you really just need to crack them open, all the AC are wired together (3 left prongs and 3 right prongs) and to a connector or wire that goes to the mains. The output of each is wired as follows: + of 12V 1A goes to CV wire for +12V + of 5V 2A goes to CV wire for +5V - of 5V 1A goes to CV wire for -5V you are now left with - of 12V, - of 5V 2A and + of 5V 1A, wire them all together and then to CV wire for GND. http://atariage.com/forums/uploads/monthly_05_2010/post-5757-127445918078.jpg

phoenixdownita
Not sure why you answered within the quote to me. I am good with my solution, around 10US$ and now no power brick at all (as it is all internal), just the AC cable< i do not sell any of those I'm just saying what I did. By any means do sell your connectors, I do not want to disparage anyone.
