Inky #1 Posted March 13, 2015 I hear Ferg over at the 2600 Game by Game podcast is going to tackle Cosmic Avenger for the 2600 soon. Was a prototype found? I hadn't heard news of this, and a quick search of Atari Age doesn't turn up info that one was released.

+Random Terrain #3 Posted March 13, 2015 Yeah, Atari 2600, ColecoVision. Whatever it takes. youtube.com/watch?v=c6si8Xp8P-M https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6si8Xp8P-M
rockman_x_2002 #4 Posted March 13, 2015 Could he have possibly meant Activision's Cosmic Commuter and said Avenger by mistake?
+KaeruYojimbo #5 Posted March 13, 2015 He's pairing it up with another Coleco game (Smurf maybe, I can't remember for sure.) and he usually does two games by the same company, so I don't think that's it. My 4 seconds of rigorous Googling didn't turn anything up other than a Starmaster bootleg called Cosmic Avenger.
Inky #6 Posted March 13, 2015 Ferg, if you're reading this... Dispel the mystery?
SoulBlazer #7 Posted March 13, 2015 Ferg, if you're reading this... Dispel the mystery? Pretty simple -- Ferg said it's his policy to cover any game that had a part number assigned to it, released or not. So he'll be covering the game. He's covered unreleased games before, even if no prototype has been found. I imagine he'll talk about the game play from other platforms and say what little is known about the planend Atari 2600 port.
+Nathan Strum #8 Posted March 14, 2015 There was an entry for it in a Coleco catalog. Beyond that, I've never seen it mentioned anywhere.
Inky #9 Posted March 14, 2015 Ferg confirmed that he doesn't have a proto or anything. He's basically including it to remain loyal to the part list.

Inky #11 Posted March 14, 2015 Indeed you did, but I was holding out hope that he had something we didn't
ferghead #12 Posted March 15, 2015 I got nothin' I will probably say a little about the arcade game and the catalog appearance and be on my merry way. Like Greg said, I am a slave to the part list.
