I hear Ferg over at the 2600 Game by Game podcast is going to tackle Cosmic Avenger for the 2600 soon. Was a prototype found? I hadn't heard news of this, and a quick search of Atari Age doesn't turn up info that one was released.

Could he have possibly meant Activision's Cosmic Commuter and said Avenger by mistake?

He's pairing it up with another Coleco game (Smurf maybe, I can't remember for sure.) and he usually does two games by the same company, so I don't think that's it. My 4 seconds of rigorous Googling didn't turn anything up other than a Starmaster bootleg called Cosmic Avenger.

Pretty simple -- Ferg said it's his policy to cover any game that had a part number assigned to it, released or not. So he'll be covering the game. He's covered unreleased games before, even if no prototype has been found. I imagine he'll talk about the game play from other platforms and say what little is known about the planend Atari 2600 port.

There was an entry for it in a Coleco catalog. Beyond that, I've never seen it mentioned anywhere.
