Stickers on boxes = Variants?

Recommended Posts

Hello folks

I wonder about your opinion to the topic, if stickers on a box turn it into a new variant. I attached two pictures to show what I mean.

1. To Scooby Doo. I bought the second copy, because it has an italian manual, which is pretty nice. I also recognized this orange Scooby on the pictures and thought its a sunfade, but when I hold it in my hands I saw that its not a sunfade, its a Sticker on the bottom flap, you can see the oroginal text shining through. New variant? Or just a sticker without any meaning

2. The dutch Stampede. It has also a dutch manual and this sticker on the front. Same question: New variant, or not? Let me hear your thoughts ^^

The second one is a real variant as I have copies of those too. The first one isn't. It's just a collector who added the stickers. I remember seeing he'd done it to other games

Wait - you mean my copy of Super Mario Brothers with "JASON" written in Sharpie isn't a rare variant?? What about the SNES game with a phone number carved into the plastic by jackknife (I'm not making this one up...)?

Do you know a way to contact this collector?
