My mobile Ebay app can do that, I never actually use it though but it can :)

I used to have my mobile eBay app set for that, as well, but they were never timely.... so that wasn't much help. :?

Maybe it's changed since then, but I haven't used that feature in a while.

Would you believe that when i clicked on it, it said it had 3 views already and i also took the time to scroll down and read the description to make sure i wasn't seeing things. I thought i had remembered there being an auction recently where someone had a reproduction Spiker box in it and was making sure this was not the same one. I felt like i was seconds away from losing out. And when i was reading the description it took me forever to find the word Spiker. I really did not think i was getting this. I was taking too long and almost fumbled.

I would like to collect for the Intellivision, but it frightens me a bit. :) I have tons of common stuff, and lots of rare "loose" carts, but I've never made a serious effort to go after the rarer boxed games..

..Al

Al I'm pretty sure we could get you there pretty quick. :) Yes Spiker is the rarest and priciest, likely running in the $1000-$1500+ range depending on condition and whether there's a bidding frenzy or not. As for the rest, there's a handful or so that run $100+, and maybe 4 in the $300-500 range. Most are quite common, and there's a decent number of mid rarity ones that run $20-50. Just keep selling those Atari homebrews and you'll have your Inty collection paid for in no time. :)

Wait - this wasn't a BIN? It actually had time for people to bid? Wow.

No it was a $100 buy it now when i bought it. I'm a little confused why it says it was a $50 bid.

Haha! Dude gets the golden auction we've all dreamed about finding. It's fitting really. Rev, Dude and I have been having ongoing PM's for the last four years or so and he's always said this would likely be the only way he'd get a Spiker so I think it's really cool it was him that found it. Seriously best $100 you've ever spent. Particularly when you're done trading and selling the extras. I'd love to see an accounting of what you end up with when all is said and done. Since I supect you'll far exceed $100 in sales and trades you're going to end up with a better than free Spiker. :)

Ah the good old days of the AA Intv forum......when it was like a ghost town......when many a time, we were the only ones in the forum posting. I still remember that I sent Albert 100 2600 carts to persuade him to make the Intv section! Thanks Albert!

I remember around 2005/2006 I was very casually collecting Intellivision. Mainly out of boredom that I had everything I could find atari-wise. There was NO activity here on the forums for Intellivision. No sub forum, No 125 club, nothing...

Ebay has email and in-app notifications, however (at least for me) they are delayed up to an hour or more. Not instant.

For me, the email notification was sufficient to allow me to nab a Keyboard Component and two TI-99/8 motherboards, so don't write it off just yet. (TI-99/8 motherboards are so rare they make Keyboard Components look like commons...)

How do you get them to be timely? The best I see is getting the emails as a once-per-day report. If I'd had a saved search for Spiker, that recent $100 lot with Spiker would never have been emailed to me.

The eBay app notifications are worse (at least for the Android eBay app). They occasionally work but mostly don't.

The notifications are essentially useless for me. The only ones that work well are the notifications that auctions are ending. I used to be able to adjust between 5, 10, 15min, but the app updated and I think it's permanently set for 15 min for watched and 10 min for bidding. New listing email notifications for me are once per day and at like 8am. Also, instead of one email with a list, I get like 12 back to back emails (1 per item) early in the morning. If I forget to mute my phone at night my girlfriend gets SUPER PISSED when the onslaught of notification sounds wakes her up. Not at all helping with her already short patience with eBay.
