March 91 page 35. Instructions have an error so you will have to refer to the schematic. I can share notes if needed.

Appreciate any information that will make these successful repairs. Thanks, sorry so late, I do not currently have internet at the house( live in the country, and Hughesnet was no good and expensive).

Oh yes.

In the stock console there is only 256 bytes of RAM (yes, bytes) and 16 KiB of video RAM. That is, you can only run BASIC programs, and all machine language programs must be stored on a cartridge.

With the 32K you can finally start to write your own assembly programs. And Extended Basic makes good use of the 32K as well.

As someone unexperienced with TI-99/4A, what is the advantage of having the 32K expansion? is it main RAM? make easier development?

1: 90% of the multicarts will require 32k

2: all of the new games being released (with the exeption of minesweeper and nonogram) require 32k

3: XB27 suite, 32k needed for most of the suite.

4: no assembly language programming or programs run without 32k or the minimemory (mini is apt its very small)

5: It is ram directly accessable by the cpu.. while the 16k in the console is vdp ram (slower)

What you don't have a multicart or xb27? http://www.arcadeshopper.com/wp/?page_id=11#!/Software-cartridges-and-diskettes/c/12497082/offset=0&sort=nameAsc

RXB was designed to take advantage of 32K, SAMs, SCSI and other devices, but also many many feature will just work with a console and without a expansion memory.

6. load assembly programs via the cassette interface

(Currently available via the real cassette tape option only and someone helping to put them from disk to tape)

and use tapeloader:

Until there is a ".wav" solution (e.g. to load .wav + 1200 baud .wav from a mobile phone, mp3 player via the cassette interface):
