Wedsau #1 Posted March 16, 2015 Are there any adventure/RPG games you've come across for the Colecovision? I'm thinking of something similar to Advanced Dungeons and Dragons for the Intellivision and Adventure for the 2600. I saw a Tunnels and Trolls game was in development for Coleco, but that was never released.
NIAD #2 Posted March 16, 2015 Quest for the Golden Chalice is an outstanding ColecoVision version of Adventure that was released by Team Pixelboy a couple of years ago: http://www.teampixelboy.com/quest_chalice.php Dungeons & Trolls was released last year by CollectorVision and is still available to purchase: http://www.collectorvision.com/game-dt.htm
Pixelboy #3 Posted March 16, 2015 There's not a lot of choice in the adventure/RPG department for the ColecoVision, but there are a few: - Alcazar - The Forgotten Fortress - Gateway to Apshai Homebrews: - The Black Onyx - Quest for the Golden Chalice - Dungeon and Trolls That's clearly not enough. We homebrewers should make more of those.

PkK #7 Posted March 16, 2015 I still intend to start working again on Tunnels and Trolls, but unfortunately, I'm too busy for some time to work on CV games. nanochess #8 Posted March 16, 2015 The Black Onyx, pretty interesting RPG once you get used to the map and lots of monsters! The most appealing thing is that you can save your progress in the internal memory, I've played it 30 minutes by day or so, it probably took me one month and a half to finish it. PkK #10 Posted March 16, 2015 Isn't Dungeon & Trolls supposed to be Tunnels & Trolls but the name was changed for copyright reasons? It's a it more complicated (Dungeon & Trolls also isn't meant to be an RPG): http://atariage.com/forums/topic/217719-tunnel-trolls/?do=findComment&comment=2849055 Philipp
Troy_Whelan #11 Posted March 18, 2015 Rumor was that someone was working on porting Leisure Suit Larry for the CV. I would love to see that and most of the original Sierra point-and-click adventure games.

CrazyBoss #20 Posted April 7, 2015 I have been thinking about porting some text adventures, but not sure people today would like the old Text only adventures, also been thinking about a CV version of the MSX "Hobbit", should be possible.
Kiwi #21 Posted April 8, 2015 I made this for my best friend. So Dragon Warrior RPG type of game is doable on the Colecovision. I programmed this game C programming. I want to use the same engine to make a RPG to be released for the Colecovision some point in the future. I may translate the graphical text adventure I did into Dragon Quest RPG style. I just have to get into the mood to program more games.

Pixelboy #24 Posted March 6, 2018 any chance to see another run of The Black Onyx and Quest for the Golden Chalice one day? That's a no for Quest for the Golden Chalice, but it's a maybe for The Black Onyx. There are talks going on to get new copies of The Black Onyx added to the AtariAge Store, but that's a bit long-term at the moment. Albert has yet to add the Team Pixelboy games that were supposed to be added to the AtariAge Store before last Christmas.
