snicklin
Sorry if you've heard about this already but I've not noticed any posts about it, but there will be a new film out this year based around early 80's arcade characters. The name of the film is "Pixels" and a wikipedia entry is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pixels_%282015_film%29 The trailer is here: And is loosely based on this short animated film from 2010 which was pretty great at the time (and still is)... fujidude
Looks like the making of some real cheesiness.
emkay
If you need to be a nerd, to like the content of the film... well... call me nerd Really looking forward to watch that movie.
snicklin
I think that it looks like it will be a film that I will struggle to watch from a plot point of view. However, I think that I'll enjoy it from a retro point of view. Anything that mentions the arcade classics is great to me! Apparently though they will be inventing some 1980s characters (to get the female quota up I suspect).
kenjennings
Looks like it could be fun. I liked Wreck It Ralph, too.
Mclaneinc
Oddly enough I just added the trailer to a lock picking forum I'm in (fun hobby) the other day, looks really fun bar it has that idiot Adam Sandler in it, can't stand the bloke, made one ok ish film and the rest have been tripe.. Like Ken I loved Wreckit Ralph....Spotting all the cameo's was great..
djmat56
I was really looking forward to this movie until I realised that Adam Sandler was the in the main role.

Bryan
Yeah, it's a Happy Madison (Sandler) film so I don't have high hopes. Basically it means it's going to be a goofy story where the only casting done is a few "you in?" texts to his friends.
AtariGeezer
Sandler's movies are really goofy and some make my *Major Dud" list. Supporting actors make up most of the likability, like Drew Barrymore I'll still watch it thou...
Mclaneinc
... I'll respect your privacy and not ask!!!! Remove that shady overtone Lock picking / bypassing is a great fun hobby that requires real skill, its not about breaking to peoples houses although I have the ability to (oddly enough the one rule we have is to never try your skills on actual door locks incase you mess up the pins, we use old locks not on doors) Now where is it you live Edited March 20, 2015 by Mclaneinc
snicklin
Now where is it you live Somewhere on this island named "Australia"...! I'm sure you'd be happy to come and find me! I'll give you a clue, I'm near an Aldi. Come and pick my lock and I'll meet you in the back room for a game of Space Harrier.

It's pricey as you say (though dropping as the exchange rate is levelling back) but the TV is awful, the weather is no better than England (instead of staying inside because of the cold, people stay inside as it is too hot) and there's a general lack of culture... On the positive side, I get to see Neighbours episodes before you. And perhaps I'll see Centron 3D before you.

pixelmischief
Oh snap! I just visited that page for the first time today and find that I have the bottom spot! I can't decide which I find more flattering: being named in such distinguished company or, by disassociation, being honored with his rejection. EDIT: This is about the Centron3D Losers Page. Sorry for the cross-talk. Edited March 20, 2015 by pixelmischief
