**Team Pixelboy Budget Game Series**

These are 17 "budget games" being released as a fundraise for Oscar (nanochess') family. For more details please see this thread:

http://atariage.com/forums/topic/252786-team-pixelboy-news-bulletin-may-19th-2016/?p=3513689

Budget series details on the Team Pixelboy website: http://www.teampixelboy.com/

Hardware

CollectorVision Game System - Ongoing updates - Shipped!

Edladdin ColecoVision Controllers - Shipped! - Official website: https://edladdin.com/

Super Game Module Second Run - Shipped! - Latest Update 10/5/2015

Super Game Module 4th Run - Shipped!

Please note: The criteria that a project needs to be listed as "In Development" is some sort of significant update from the developer within the past 12 months, be it either recent screen shots, an updated video, or a new blog entry or news bulletin. Otherwise it drops into the "vaporware" section until a new update has been posted. I'm only going to include projects that appear to be *real* and actually in some sort of current development.

I'd also like to keep this thread strictly for posting links to the project updates and discussions about those projects should belong in the threads related to that game.

Thanks for all your help!

I'd love to see homebrews of:

Super Star Trek - With arcade realistic Spock voice

Super Time Pilot - All arcade timezones included

(Super Action) Horse Racing - advertised on the back of the CV console box but never released

Dark Tower - based on the electronic board game from Milton Bradley

ROM Space Knight - based on the Parker Bros. electronic action figure/Marvel comic book

Crystar - Based on the Remco toys/Marvel comic

M.A.S.K. - based on the Kenner toys/animated series

Gauntlet

Donkey Kong 3

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

Paperboy

^ Keep in mind, this wouldn't a "homebrew wish list" this is specifically about projects that are in development and could easily track their most recent updates.

Taking the information Pixelboy said to mind, if something like this is useful, I could keep it to just projects that are in development that have some chance of survival? Perhaps using the criteria of having an update with either a video or screenshots within a year being the benchmark?

So for example:

Current Development:

Bagman - In Development - Lastest video: 12/26/2014

Bombjack - In Development - Latest video: 11/6/2014

Boxxle - In Development - Latest Pixelboy News Bulliten: 1/5/2015

Jewel Panic - In Development - Latest Pixelboy News Bulliten: 1/5/2015

Rip Cord - In Development - Latest video: 9/20/2014

Robee Blaster - In Development - Latest Video: 12/25/2014

Tron Lightcycles - In Development - Latest update w/ pics: 03/05/2015

Vaporware Projects:

Horse Racing - Vaporware? - Latest update: 3/8/2014

Again, if this is totally not useful, that's fine. It's easy enough to drag this idea into the trashcan. :P

I think this thread is a great idea TPR and would like to see you continue updating it. What would be really nice is if a moderator could give you editing priviliedges for this thread so that you can keep a current list in Post #1 instead of constantly having to add new posts to update information.

^ It looks like I can edit post #1 already. I just did that second version as an example to split current projects from ones that have dropped into the development black hole.

You have a certain amount of time that you can edit a recent post in "MOST" of the forums. After this time period has passed, the post will be locked and you will no longer be able to edit it.

I would send Tempest a PM to ask for editing priviliedges in this thread.

I actually tried doing this on my web page at one point with game name, publisher, planned release date and screen shots (if available), but it got to be too hellish keeping track of everything.

It's no longer linked to the menu on my main page, but you can find it here:

http://www.sacnews.net/adamcomputer/upcomingreleases.html

I quit updating it in April of 2013.

Homebrew games that rot in development hell (I'm looking at you, Dracula and Monster Bash) are only mildly interesting to people around here. The release dates are what people are truly interested in.

Man I forgot about Monster bash. That always looked very promising. Thanks for making me remember that again and now I have a big sighhh.

I agree - this is a great idea and very much hope you can keep it going.

Albert gave me the permission to edit the original post so I can continue to update. I will need as much help from you guys as well if there are any projects I've missed. While I've been scouring the board looking for these projects, I am still very much a newbie to all of this, but trust me, my true retro passion is Colecovision. When I was working in the industry I had quite a large CV/Adam collection with many items that at the time were not so rare, and now I see loose carts going for a hell of a lot more than when I sold my collection off. I moved from Baltimore to So Cal in 2001 and had to sell off everything I had collected from 1982 onwards knowing that someday I would get back into it.

15 years later I'm totally blown away by what the homebrew scene has produced and I never thought I'd be playing games that were just as good, if not better quality than the original releases 30 years after the machine saw retail shelves.

So that's why I'd like to try to contribute. Not only does it help me get caught up on what's been happening in this scene for many years, it also lets me help out if I can.

Getting back to the project tracker, I was thinking that I'd set the criteria that a project needed to have some sort of significant update from the developer within the past 12 months, be it either recent screen shots, an updated video, or a new blog entry or news bulletin. Otherwise it drops into the "vaporware" section until a new update has been posted. I'm only going to include projects that appear to be *real* and actually in some sort of current development. I've seen the threads on Death Race and Mega Man (both would be awesome) but those are just concepts and ideas, and not actual projects yet.

I'd also like to keep this thread strictly for posting links to the project updates and discussions about those projects should belong in the threads related to that game.

Does this sound cool to the rest of you?

There is Knight 'n More also.

As I said, there is also Uwol and MazezaM

To make life easier, especially since TPR is new to this forum, could you provide him with links to the threads or websites where these have been discussed/announced... especially since they are your own games and the added publicity here will help generate more interest.

Actually, this should be the case for anyone that posts about a game, provide a link as well.
