which arcade sticks are the best for fighters?

I was just wondering what do you think is the best arcade stick for fighting games. the balltop or bat top arcade sticks?

I'm not a fighter guy, so I don't really have an opinion, but I would think the actual design of the joystick itself would be more important than whether the shaft has a bat or ball on top. For example, mico switches or leaf switches? Shaft length? Type of physical restriction (if any)?

This is going to divide a lot of people.

 

A lot of 'hard core' fighting fans prefer the Japanese Sanwa sticks which are ball tops.

 

I played a lot of Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat back in the arcades which were always the Happ Bat style, so that's what I still prefer. I also prefer the standard buttons versus the concave japanese ones as well but I'm no fighting game pro.

 

There is no right answer, it's all about preference.
