Hardware controls for Colleen

I recently installed Colleen on my JXD78000b tablet. The Emulator runs quite nice, but I can't figure out how to properly assign hardware controls. The JXD has a lot of physical buttons and a gamepad and analog sticks. So far I was only able to assign the joystick to the gamepad and the fire button to one of the buttons (but not to the one I'd prefer). It would be fantastic if there was a way to assign also the function keys (like start/option/seelct) and some common keyboard keys to the buttons. Even better if there were game specific settings. Did anyone figure out if that's possible at all?
