per #4 Posted April 19, 2015 (edited) The most "famous" version of Chip's Challenge is the kinda slacky port included with the Microsoft Windows Entertainement Packs. It was installed on a ton of computers running Win 3.x, and some Win 95 machines as well. This sequel (of the actual Atari Lynx game) was originally intended to be released in the late 90s, but then Epyx had long since cheased operations and the rights for both the codebase and the name for Chip's Challenge had been sold off to a different company outside the videogame industry. The release we're seeing now is made possible as a ressult of 5 years with continous negotiation between the developer and the rights-owner.
