icemanxp300 #1 Posted April 18, 2015 So my wife and I have been playing Crue ball on the genesis and just looking for more awesome pinball games. I like dragon's revenge but she doesn't care for the girls moaning lol. So give me some choices, system does not matter much, I pretty much have them all. +atari2600land #2 Posted April 18, 2015 Fun fact: There are a whopping 0 pinball games on the N64. As for what to play: I'd stick with Midnight Magic and Video Pinball on the Atari 2600. Perhaps Thunderball! on the Odyssey 2. Mile High Pinball for the N-Gage is an interesting take on the pinball genre.

Torr #4 Posted April 18, 2015 ...looking for more awesome pinball games. I like dragon's revenge but she doesn't care for the girls moaning lol... I wouldn't be laughing abut that. Let alone Laughing Out Loud. Most commercials nowadays have more sexuality than a pinball game on Sega Genesis has.
icemanxp300 #5 Posted April 18, 2015 The Pinball Arcade, PS2, PS3, etc. Can you be more specific? I don't think that is what it is called. Do you mean pinball hall of fame?
TheObscureGamer #6 Posted April 18, 2015 (edited) So my wife and I have been playing Crue ball on the genesis and just looking for more awesome pinball games. I like dragon's revenge but she doesn't care for the girls moaning lol. So give me some choices, system does not matter much, I pretty much have them all. If she hates Dragon's Revenge the she will loath Capcom's Big Bang Bar(not an pinball console game but still a great pinball game).it has a stripper that dances and when you hit her with the balls she moans soo seductively(at 24:28) Edited April 18, 2015 by TheObscureGamer
+save2600 #7 Posted April 18, 2015 Can you be more specific? I don't think that is what it is called. Do you mean pinball hall of fame? Yeah, sorry. TPA is what it's called now for the current systems, iOS, etc. Williams and Gottlieb Pinball HOF collections morphed into what's now known as The Pinball Arcade. Video #8 Posted April 18, 2015 I liked pinball fantay for the Jaguar, and Pinbot for the NES. The Getaway was my favorite on Gameboy. Midnight magic may be technically superior, but I like Video Pinball better on the 2600
Nutsy Doodleheimer #9 Posted April 19, 2015 Pinbot for the NES, Midnight Magic for the 2600, True Pinball for the Saturn, Pinball arcade Hall of Fame PS2 Xbox, and Sonic Spinball for the Genesis.

Austin #12 Posted April 19, 2015 Last Gladiators pinball (Saturn) Necronomicon (Saturn, import only) Those are my favorite realistic-style pinball games on a console. Super Pinball on the SNES is also good, considering the platform it is on. The Pro Pinball games are great, specifically Timeshock, Fantastic Journey and Big Race USA. Skip the Web, that was before they got the physics down. Available on PS1, Dreamcast, PS2, XBOX and PC. Timeshock was recently remade and is available on smartphones and tablets.
SiLic0ne t0aD #13 Posted April 19, 2015 Rollerball on ColecoVision is a pretty sweet homebrew pinball game, although it requires the SGM.
icemanxp300 #14 Posted April 19, 2015 Not looking for realistic pinball. Devils crush looks good but alien crush would just annoy the hell out of me by having the screens switch scenes to different levels. I like multi-levels but want the screen to drop and raise in a smooth motion with the ball.
BassGuitari #15 Posted April 19, 2015 My favorites:Pinball (Atari Video Pinball/Sears Pinball Breakaway): it probably won't scratch an itch for real -- or realistic -- pinball, but this is a highly playable game in its own right. There's really nothing else quite like it.Thunderball! (Odyssey 2): objectively a pretty terrible pinball game, but I enjoy it nonetheless. It's one of the few games where nostalgia is a factor, though; it was one of the first retro games I ever played when I started getting into classic gaming in the late '90s. But at least it's colorful and fast.Bally Pin (Astrocade): not very exciting-looking, but independent flipper control via two controllers was a nice touch. Pretty fun once the game gets going a little bit.Video Pinball (Channel F): okay, so it's Breakout. But it says "pinball" on the box!Video Pinball (Atari VCS): I prefer it to Midnight Magic for some reason. Don't ask me why.Paddle Pinball (TRS-80): one of those games where you have a paddle instead of flippers. Kind of weird as a pinball game, but pretty good as a TRS-80 game. Auxiliary audio and a high score table do quite a bit for this one.Pinball (VIC-20, C64): another paddle game, but unlike Paddle Pinball on the TRS-80, you use actual paddle controllers. Lots of color and varied targets/goals keep this one interesting.Space Cadet Pinball (Windows XP): one of the best video/computer pinball games I've played. BydoEmpire #16 Posted April 19, 2015 Alien Crush on TG-16 Pinbot on the NES Video Pinball on the 2600 There were some good ones on PC as well - I forget the name but Sierra put out one w/ a medieval theme in the early 90s I enjoyed quite a bit. +wongojack #18 Posted April 22, 2015 There are a lot of portable titles that haven't been mentioned. The original Gameboy had Revenge of the Gator and Kirby's pinball. It doesn't seem like the Gameboy would make a compelling pinball game, but those are both very good. Pinball of the dead for GBA is also pretty good along with the Sonic pinball games (I think I have 2). Mario Pinball gets good reviews but I haven't played it, same with Pokemon pinball for GBC. There is a Pac Man portable pinball game out there as well that I haven't played. Can you be more specific? I don't think that is what it is called. Do you mean pinball hall of fame? http://pinballarcade.com/ The Pinball Arcade is kind of the evolution of pinball hall of fame. The HoF tables were released as downloadables for the pinball arcade app. In some cases there are tables that weren't part of HoF, but the others are just ported over (including all the bugs in Black Hole). Pinball arcade is available for consoles and PC. The base app is a free download but the tables cost a small sum. http://www.pinballfx.com/ I also REALLY enjoy Pinball FX2 which happens to also be on Consoles and PC. If you are ok with the games not being 100% realistic then this is really the next thing you should investigate. There are tons of tables with popular themes. Some licensed and some not. I really find myself spending a lot of time with this and it is very easily the best pinball video game ever created. I do have to put a plug in for Intellivision pinball though. That one is my favorite of all of those on "classic" systems. The other series that really gets people excited is Pinball Fantasies on the Amiga. Those are available on GoG, but they are the Dos versions, so you don't get the Amiga sound etc.

+wongojack #20 Posted April 23, 2015 Also if you are in to podcasts, I can't think of a better time to recommend episode 74 of RetroGaming Roundup. They discuss their top 10 "Video Pinball Games." The top 10 discussion starts at 214:31. Edit - I did not know that the podcast link would embed like that (deleted embedded link). Here is the shownotes page: http://www.retrogamingroundup.com/shownotes/2014/roundup074_2014.05.php
