adam242
Is it possible to safely open up a grey XE-era 8-bit cart (specifically, the ones with ridged sides, if it matters) without damaging the plastic or the label? I have two games that have a bit of something rattling around in them, but play fine. I would like to remove the foreign object. I don't feel any screws under the label, so I'm assuming there is some kind of one-way locking tabs holding them together... If anyone has successfully opened one of these, I would appreciate any advice you might have.
Paul Westphal
Yeah, they snap apart, no screw. You might break a tab, but no biggie. That sound you hear is the glue they used to hold the board in there, bouncing around. Common.
adam242
I guess I wasn't quite careful enough... Broke five of the six tabs. Oh well, it was my second copy of Blue Max anyway. A little super glue and no one will ever know.
