EEPROM equivalent for a TMS2532 EPROM

Recommended Posts

AMD2532

NTE2532

Others escape me right now. Download a device list for an older programmer (Needhams EMP-20 for instance) and just search for 2532.

And just to get the terminology right, they are EPROM's, not EEPROM's. There is no 2532 equivalent EEPROM.

He knows the terminology, he asked for exactly what he was looking for. If your last sentence is true, then that would be the answer to the question. :)

I think I have a few TMS2532s, and I'm pretty sure my programmer will program them. I'll double check momentarily.

I've been able (with Gazoo's help) to cajole my MiniPro to program 2532's. I Have a supply of them but was hoping to be able to do what I want without hackimg the EPROM code. But, if there is no other way . .

I just checked--it will do the 2532, 2532A, 2732A and the 2764 from TI. Let me know if you do end up needing programming assistance. It will also do Intel and ST 2716s. . .

My MiniPro can do all of those despite what the docs say to the contrary. All it takes is the Great Gazoo to help a bit - and the proper adapter.

I fopund the answer on Thierry Nouspikel's website. He uses Atmel 28C64 or the Xicor equivalent and clips off and re-wires some of the pins. I think I'll go with the "hack the source" for the present.
