Crazy Climber #77 Posted May 14, 2015 Some people might prefer silent bids if only to not have their spouse see a $ amount attached directly to their account for all time. Possible, in my experience though most women are doing the same thing. Just with useless stuff like designer purses/etc.. Some people get a little harassment when openly paying hundreds of dollars for games that are only worth that much to a few hundred of us nut jobs. I paid $500+ for a few games (not intellivision....yet) only to have friends/etc tell me what an idiot I am, lol. Getting it from fellow collectors is the worst though. I'm careful who I tell how much I have paid for stuff these days, I don't need the world reminding me I've got a problem

Pay for and buy what YOU want, especially if you work for a living 5+ days a week.My overtime used to go to what my Wife was buying anyway. I am going to collect games, and pay however much for them, for myself, if that is what I need to!
+nurmix #80 Posted May 16, 2015 Roughly 2 hours to go. At this point, to keep it interesting, I'm going to be a little vague, and just let everyone know that the current high bid is more than $300, but less than $

At this point, to keep it interesting, I'm going to be a little vague, and just let everyone know that the current high bid is more than $300, but less than $400 Wow. I should have bought the one I had in my hand at the show that morning. I just never think that people would really pay that kind of money on the resale market for a home brew. Ignorama #82 Posted May 17, 2015 400 isnt even the most expensive homebrew sold so far if I am not wrong. I guess the Philly 4-Tris was sould for more and there was a Super NFL which sold for something in the 400 Bucks area. I think Deep Pockets also was in that region before it got a second run. Right on all counts, plus the two more recent 4Tris both sold at around $
JasonlikesINTV #84 Posted May 17, 2015 Pretty sure I've seen the goofy box 4-Tris sell for $800.
JasonlikesINTV #85 Posted May 17, 2015 What was the final price?
+nurmix #86 Posted May 17, 2015 The winner was _______________________ (to be announced once I have his permission). The cartridge sold for $350. Payment, shipping method, etc. TBD once I hear back from the winner. Thanks for participating, guys. Glad that ebay didn't get a penny, and that it went to someone who will appreciate it for what it is. A highly unique low number home-brew release / collectible. +save2600 #87 Posted May 17, 2015 Now that there's no shame in hocking this stuff for big bucks sooooo short after purchasing, gonna have to start listing some of my games. 6 month yield = 900% profit. I know of NO better investment scenario than console video gaming today. Do you?
