It's been nearly a year and a half since the last poll! Where did all the time go? Anyway, during the last 16 months we've had some real interesting stuff happen in the community like the new XB2.7s cartridge, multiple new users, people obtaining lots of new hardware, and so on... so it's time to bring things 'up-to-date'! :)

Please remember the Atari Age Poll only allows 10 primary questions, so hopefully I asked the most relevant questions.

These answers will have to do until June of 2016, unless someone else makes a poll of their own! :)

As I have multiple primary systems set up, the poll doesn't work that well when trying to describe what I have. I have a fully-expanded Geneve with a 9938 VDP, and an MFM hard disk. I have a SNUG TI with a 9938VDP, AMS memory, a GRAM device, and a RAM Disk (and I plan to add my SCSI card to it at some point). I have a standard TI with a Myarc MPES, another one with a CorComp 9900, a couple of CF7/NanoPEB devices, a whole lot of different sidecar units from various sources that I use to test, and a system with a SASI hard disk too. . .I like my TIs. :)

Mines pretty basic so far. Do have the Speech Synthesizer, want to get a nano-peb, but so far no luck there.

Oh yeah, I do have Extended Basic and Editor/Assembler, just the base ones.

It takes time... sometimes longer, MUCH longer than we would like it to take.

Believe it or not, you're kind of lucky to be getting gearing up now, as new things are being introduced, you'll not have to re-purchase 'replacement items'.

You may even find that in a month or two, you might decide to go a different expansion path.

Good choice on the XB and EA! Those are the two of the most important original cartridges out there (IMHO).

This is true, and I do have about 25 games, plus a few XB games I can load to play, so I have lots occupied till the right expansion comes along.

With only 1/2 of projected voters having taken part so far, I see some interesting results (at the time of this posting).

1) More people now use the F18A than any other display method on their primary machine.

2) Way to go Gazoo! In such a short time your cartridge has become quite popular. :)

3) Lotharek HxC use is growing.

4) Mouse use shows room for potential growth.

Has the limiting factor been unavailability of hardware or lack of applications?

Would the recently talked about 'joystick converter' fill the potential need?

5) There are a lot more GRAM devices out there than I suspected.... you lucky B_$tar_s! ;)

Please, if you've not already voted, please do so, we need the poll to reflect the TRUE status of the community.

Lurkers are encouraged to participate as well.

I have two Gennies, a few TI Consoles, 3 P-Boxes, several Horizon ram disk, Gram Kracker, many other items. They have been in deep storage many years and I am now slowly getting them back to serviceable shape. No, none of them are for sale as I quit trying to run a business many years ago. Glad to see there is still such support and as my finances grow (currently unemployed, by choice, taking a c# programming course) I will be availing myself of some of the fine hardware that is available now.
