Defender of the Crown for Intellivision 2016

Recommended Posts

Hey Intellivision fans.

As some of you may know, Elektronite is still working on Defender of the Crown for Intellivision.

Many of the already well done graphics in the game are being given a makeover.

Here is a teaser graphic from the game.

Also, I'm posting the box as a reminder of what it will look like.

The box will be printed in about six months. We've got a testing team in place. Things are progressing well on the game.

It's the Intellivision version of Duke Nukem Forever.

I guess there are games more similar to DNF than this one

The original box art was pretty cool:

Don't get me wrong - I like boobs and up-skirt as much as the next guy, but the new box seems a bit gratuitous.

I'm still in for 2 copies. Great news!!

The art that was sourced for that cover is probably going to find its way into the manual. It looked GREAT (in my opinion) with the 'Elektronite Pink', but when Cinemaware demanded that we use the original art, we had to change the box colour.

I think the new box looks great. We used the Elektronite pink for Boulder Dash® which I think suited it well.

The cartridge sticker is being done now and I'll show that next. Then the manual cover. The overlays have yet to be designed and will be done as further programming continues.

It's the original box art. So I'm more than okay with it. :)

No. Intellivision doesn't need a game like Duke Nukem Forever.

Posting link to DNF video instead of embedding the video so the squeamish don't have to see a screenshot.
