Avram
I'm putting together a talk on how comic book super heroes (Spiderman, Superman, Batman, etc.) have been represented in 8-bit games. So far I have the following: Superman III - http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-superman-the-game_6795.html And Adventure International's games: Spiderman - http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-questprobe-2-spider-man_4236.html The Hulk - http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-400-800-xl-xe-questprobe-1-the-hulk_6734.html What else am I missing on the Atari 8-bit?And if anyone's familiar with the ZX Spectrum, Apple II, and C64, would you mind suggesting titles I can look at?Thanks, Avram
Avram
Regarding non-Atari games, here's a Batman game I'd like to include in my talk - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batman_%281986_video_game%
Lost Dragon
C64 wise: Batman:The Caped Crusader (Special FX), Batman:The Movie (ocean). The Amazing Spiderman (Paragon software?) Capt.America in the doom tube of Dr Megalomann. The Amazing Spiderman and Capt.America in Doctor Dooms Revenge. Played a Spiderman game years back on the 2600, webswinging/defusing bombs etc. First Star and Tynesoft did Superman games: http://www.google.co.uk/url?q=http://www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3D5K2rRB0B7NE&sa=U&ei=7UJ3Vf7gCOS67gbwiIHABQ&ved=0CB8QtwIwAg&usg=AFQjCNHxguol1locpp-WFgtRZchPgmwHJQ http://www.google.co.uk/url?q=http://www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3Ddd1je89DIZU&sa=U&ei=20J3VYLVNe2f7gaD24LABQ&ved=0CBsQtwIwAQ&usg=AFQjCNG0ovFF1iKyqjltrQhyHEgFcvWOgg Edited June 9, 2015 by Lost Dragon

+CharlieChaplin
Well, how about First Star`s "Superman vs. Darkseid" also known as Superman, the game ? The game is boring as hell (and shortened, i.e. 2 levels from the C64 version are missing, since the Atari has only 48k available the programmers said)... There is also a kind of 2600 version of Superman for the 800/XL/XE, but afaik its unfinished. http://a8.fandal.cz/search.php?search=Superman&butt_details_x= And there is some fake-game (joke-game) named Batman: http://a8.fandal.cz/detail.php?files_id=4795 Human Torch and the Thing: http://a8.fandal.cz/detail.php?files_id=4457 Edited June 9, 2015 by CharlieChaplin
peteym5
Why not have someone port the 2600 Superman over to the 8-bit with some updated graphics? Super Hero stuff is more heavily protected with licensing so super hero games were not frequently made in the early 80s.
