Crazy Climber #1 Posted June 16, 2015 (edited) HelloFor those that don't know I work as a machinist and often make little signs and stuff for my collection. I generally make stuff that I like and want in my room, then make a few extras in case somebody else wants one.The material is crazy expensive at $6 per square foot, my asking price would not even cover material and shipping charges (let alone time!) but I get a great deal on left over materials from jobs we have machined. This is not a big money making operation though, I probably end up making a few bucks an hour of I'm lucky, lol. I do it for fun and to be a part of the scene It's fun for me to make things people like. This time I made the RARE logo. I was thinking about how much I like Conkers bad fur day (honestly probably the only N64 game I actually play, lol) and decided to make a RAREWARE logo sign to hang on my garage (this material is fully weather treated and can be hung outside, I live in MN and our weather is harsh!)It consists of 2 machined pieces, one is a gloss black we used to make a Car dealership. The other is a crazy awesome 2 tone color called orange sunburst. It changes color in direct sunlight from a deep orange metallic to a light bronze metallic and has a heavy metallic flake all through out it. Hard to photograph but trust me, it looks awesome The orange was used to make a Dairy Queen location. The size of the sign is around 8" x 6"I also added two holes to the back to make them easier to hang. I generally just use industrial strength metal tape to slap them on my garage but I realize this is not an option for everyone (especially if you want to move it, lol) the holes make it easily hangable, and moveableThese materials come to us professionally painted, then are CNC machined (by yours truly) and then I assemble them using industrial glues and metal tapes. The price is $16 shipped for one, but I can fit 2 in a flat rate mailer so $25 shipped for two if you have a buddy that wants one alsoLet me know if you have any questions Thanks! Jess Ragan #4 Posted June 17, 2015 Can you make stencils with that CNC music factory machine?

Jess Ragan #6 Posted June 18, 2015 I'll warn you, it'd have to be pretty small. I wanted to put a logo on my Game Boy Advance SP after I replace the case. You'll see it below. The orange would be the solid metal; the black would be empty space where spraypaint could be applied. Please let me know if this is viable, and if so, what the ballpark would be on a piece of metal about 2.8 inches by 2.8 inches. Hopefully I'll have money coming in on July; if so I think we might be able to do business.

Could maybe do it on a NES or something larger... I have engraving bits that could hit those tolerances but they cant cut through metal for the stencil effect you need unfortunately. Sorry man.... CPUWIZ #8 Posted June 18, 2015 You could possibly trick a PCB fab-house into making one of these, if you submit the design as a circuit board, for a solder paste stencil.

Crazy Climber #13 Posted July 21, 2015 Still waiting on a coleco or playstation sign Playstation I have a pretty good idea that I think will work, I made a few Coleco "prototypes" but they look so generic...
Austin #14 Posted July 22, 2015 I'd be all for a PlayStation sign as well. (The P/S cross logo especially would be cool!)
