Wow. This is a horse shaped rug of a topic by now, but just wanted to say, it's nice to see IS1 as the no.1 title here. Tis a REALLY good game...

No love for Supercross 3D? It showcases some of the unharnessed 3D POWAH that could've saved the Jaguar, despite all the conspiracies to kill the system off.

Could we have you honest top 10 list of games, plix madman, I'm really curious what that might be. Fingers crossed.

(My list is coming, wouldn't ask for something I'm not capable of doing myself.)

Not really into putting games into highest to lowest, but these are the games that made me glad i'd bought the Jaguar, even if i did rush in on day 1:

AVP, Wolfen. 3D, Doom, Syndicate, Rayman, Iron Solider and Tempest 2000.

I also really enjoyed Hoverstrike. very flawed gem for myself, i know it had some dicky frame rate issues etc, but i loved her :-)

If i could do it all again? i'd probably not bother with Cannon Fodder-far too frustrating to feel i got my moneys worth (another day 1 release purchase) and Defender 2000-just never taken to it at all, so again as a day 1 purchase i simply did'nt get VFM as never stuck with it long enough.

Troy Aikman and Arena football? Those belong BOTTOM TEN of Jaguar games... ;) But I suppose you are a football fan, so I can understand. :P

doom

avp

tempest 2000

iron soldier

rayman

super burnout

wolf 3d

raiden

zool 2

nba jam

Here are mine:

10 Zool 2 (especially like the sound effects in this one)

9 Wolfenstein (runs so fast and smooth- I really began to like holding the Jag controller after spending a lot of time playing this game...)

8 Missile Command 3D (pretty cool implementation of a new take on an old idea.)

7 Rayman (very nice graphics and gameplay for its time.)

6 White Men Can't Jump (AKA Get off me Chump!)

5 Cybermorph (I learned to drive playing Cybermorph by avoiding the ground)

4) Power Drive Rally (really like these kinda games? Also try Karnaaj Rally on the GBA)

3) AvP (I was mesmerized by this gamefor a couple months)

2) Iron Soldier (both games are top-tier mech games)

1) Tempest 2000 (Still am trying to play better after 20 years- and that really says something about Minter's accomplishment. This is one of the best games of all time.)

1. Tempest 2000 - I don't buy into the whole " one of the best of all time " stuff, but the fact is its a great game and a lot of fun.

2. Raiden - decent 2d shooter

3. super burnout - decent fun

4. power drive rally - I am a sucker for these types of games.

5. NBA jam - always been a highly entertaining game.

6. Worms

7. Brutal sports - not great but I have fond memories

8. AVP - lost its luster over the years but great at the time

9. Rayman - lovely looking 2d platformer

10 Cannon Fodder

Okay, I will admit that Arena '95 has terrible graphics, but once you get used to the gameplay, it's actually quiet fun.

Whoa, Cybermorph? I've never seen that on a top 10 Jag list.

Liking all this Battlemorph love. I really liked that title.

  1. Skyhammer
  2. Battlemorph
  3. Alien Vs. Predator
  4. Rayman
  5. Iron Soldier I/II
  6. BattleSphere
  7. Brutal Sports Football
  8. Defender 2000
  9. Tempest 2000
  10. Super Burnout

Quick note on Skyhammer. Yes, I love this game. I love the feeling that there is a bigger world around you. While you're busy taking out a platoon in one area of the city, a previously secure sector in another area of the might get overrun. It is the one game on my list that I feel asks you to think defensively.
