Plastik
I thought I'd start a thread to post up idea's that pop in my head for the Ti. Since I lack knowledge in a few areas like coding and such, these my not come to fruition but I thought I'd share them. I'm sure many of you have ideas or projects in the back burner also. Here is a game idea I came up with that is a bit like "skydiver" but it's called "Base Jumper" Story: Base Jumper Steve loves a good thrill! But when he decides to up the ante by adding spikes to his landing area, he might have sealed his own doom. Mechanics: Player controls steve's' left and right movement to avoid the canyon walls and guide him to his landing pad. Don't forget to push the button to deploy your parachute before landing! Game: As levels progress so does difficulty. Faster falls, tighter walls and smaller landing areas. Sprite and Canyon are very simplistic

Plastik
I thought it would be cool to have a Twin Stick on the Ti for maybe clones of Robotron, Berzerk or asteroids. The stick would use both controller inputs.
Plastik
CODE? Sorry no code since the best I can still do is "hello world" but anyone with the know how can gladly take on the project.

Plastik
SCHEMATICS? schematics would be worthless unless a game is coded to use both 2 player inputs. Its just a concept but can be made pretty easily.

I have never seen a game on the TI that can use both joystick inputs at once, at least not without a small delay on the port you are scanning second. probably not much to notice, but definitely is a cool concept. You won't notice, at least in machine language. Switching between joystick 1 and joystick 2 means to activate another 9901 line and to read five input lines. Should be well below 100 microseconds.
+Schmitzi
Maybe driving a tank needs two joysticks. /EDIT for two/ Edited June 23, 2015 by schmitzi

Omega-TI
Interesting. If a game ever comes out that uses them both, I'll finally have a need for the old hand wreckers. Of course I'll have to make a weighted wooden base with slots for the joysticks to slide into.
+Schmitzi
ah yes. Battlezone !! Oh I did not get ♫ the name of the game ♫ Omega, a wooden schematic , just plug two joysticks together. cool idea

Screw down two controllers to some wood and you're golden *not my pic by the way random image* Edited June 23, 2015 by Plastik
Omega-TI
Yeah, I figure the majority of people here already have at least one pair of the old TI sticks and this might put them to good use... without busting your hands. I think they would be perfect for driving.

Plastik
I'm not sure if anyone has ever come up with one but I was thinking much like the voice synthesiser was used on some games. Maybe create a universal sample bank card that attaches like the voice synth but preloaded with sounds developer could pull from. Things like explosions or "boing" sounds used when a character in a game jumps. Maybe even a kick or snare sounds that could be used to accompany the music being generated by the Ti? Dexter
Very nice idea for a thread! I had an idea for a PEB replacement. I'm thinking of a Printed Circuit Board where cards for the PEB would fit in. The board would have an ATX main board form factor, that way it would fit in any computer case. The card could be plugged in as if they were PC cards. The power supply could be any PC power supply. This idea is nagging me for quite a while.

+Schmitzi
...I was thinking of just pulling out the board from the PEB, inserting it into PC-Housing. Quick & Dirty
