Pfpixel more then 1 color?

Here's the setup. I'm doing a snake version where you are infinitely long, and you just continue painting the playfield in 1 color. So far so good. Now I was pondering about if it's possible to have a 2 player version where both players where of 2 different colors?

 

The game idea is that you compete to cover the playfield with your own color. The player with the most covered playfield wins. Think: Splatoon demake.

I don't think that's possible. For it to be, each pfblock would have to be a different color. Right now, you can make each pfrow a different color, but not the individual blocks.
