+save2600
Pssst! (all quiet like)… what's the status on that finished version of 2600 Xevious? Thought you said you might be able to release it by summer…
Tempest
They said to talk to them sometime in late July so I'll have to get back to them.

+Allan
Tempest, You have a typo in the Roadrunner entry. You wrote 'read' instead of 'real'. Allan
Kr0tki
Tempest, you seem to made some mixup on the Dig Dug entry - both links at the bottom of the page point to the same subpage.
Shannon
Also some typos in the dig dug review. CITA should be CTIA and GITI shoulb be GTIA
Tempest
Yeah I was doing these pretty fast. I'll fix these later. Thanks for pointing those out.
Tempest
All fixed. Thanks everyone.
Kr0tki
Well, that CTIA/GTIA part in the Dig Dug review should be removed. Neither of the two versions use any GTIA-specific modes.

So the 5200 port of Dig Dug can run on a CTIA 400/800? I didn't think it could.
Kr0tki
Yes, it would run without problems (mind you, didn't test it). Atari started developing GTIA-only (and/or XL/XE-only) titles only after the Tramiel buyout. Of these, the only cases of usage of GTIA modes that come to my mind right now, are the intro sequences in Ballblazer and RoF. Tempest
Then why does Galaxian fail on CTIA machines?
Crimefighter
Something's confusing here - the 5200 version has LESS detailed enemies, yet this is deemed the superior version? The 5200 version looks like it has the same sprites as the 2600 version.
Kr0tki
Then why does Galaxian fail on CTIA machines? I believe there's only one report known of Galaxian not working, coming from Jacobus. That's not enough to generalize.

Shannon
5200 version of dig dug plays way better. What is crazy is I remembered playing the conversion of it to the computers but years later I could not find it and thought I imagined it. Only to find out it was a 5200 conversion. I don't remember seeing any Glenn the 5200 man messages.
Tempest
It wasn't a Glenn conversion, it was an official port of the 5200 version.
Shannon
Whoops. Your right. I forgot about that too. LOL. I owned the first cart version and dl'ed the 5200 port later on.
