First Spear #1 Posted July 30, 2015 Schedule, shmedule. Somebody please get me a new podcast. I don't care if it's only been a few weeks since the last one.
JasonlikesINTV #2 Posted July 31, 2015 I'm like 6 episodes behind, so if you can figure out a way to temporarily switch minds with me (like in the movie Like Father Like Son with Dudley Moore and Kirk Cameron, 1987), then you can experience them anew. One caveat...you have to be Kirk Cameron. There's no way in hell I'm going to be Kirk Cameron.
mr_intv #3 Posted July 31, 2015 I just go back and re listen to the earlier podcasts to get my fix. . And oh yeah, I wouldn't be Kirk Cameron either.....or Dudley Moore...I'd have to find a different movie....

+nurmix #5 Posted August 5, 2015 There are already 2 interviews in the can, and there's some additional stuff recorded for a "Mentions..." segment. We haven't done our group recordings yet though. Family, Summer vacations, and delays with The Reynolds Research Department are the main culprits.
+cmart604 #6 Posted August 24, 2015 I'm hearing many rumours about an imminent release of the next episode.....or maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part. 😜
+nurmix #7 Posted August 24, 2015 I'm hearing many rumours about an imminent release of the next episode.....or maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part. The rumors are true. We've been on a bit of a summer hiatus. We'll be back soon, and there will be some changes as well, which we hope will allow for more frequent content. All will be revealed in episode 20. Right, Rick?

+nurmix #15 Posted September 2, 2015 Boulder Dash. We get into the whole "homebrew vs. professional' thing too. - which.. ahem.. seems pretty popular here.
Rev #16 Posted September 3, 2015 (edited) Boulder Dash. We get into the whole "homebrew vs. professional' thing too. - which.. ahem.. seems pretty popular here. The implication that if people identify as homebrew that they are not professional is ludacris. If not being homebrew means you have to act like the "professional" we've seen lately, we will wear the homebrew badge with honor. TestaOn #17 Posted September 3, 2015 (edited) I think we might generally agree on this definition: Homebrewer - one who brews at home or in another non-commercial area and shares (or sells off to recoup costs) the yield with friends and family - volume is limited only by how many handmade units can be produced So then maybe these other categories, as defined by the Brewer's Association, are pertinent to this argument: Microbrewer - an independent business-owner who brews small batches with an annual production volume of less than 15,000 barrels Craft Brewer - a business-owner who's independent holdings total at least 75% of the business, which produces between 15,000 and 6,000,000 barrels With this in mind, a microbrewer produces 3,200,000 units or fewer annually (the approximate number of beers in 15,000 barrels) A brewer may still retain it's craft brewer status (thanks to lobbyists from Sam Adams and Yeungling) by producing fewer than 1.41 billion units Edited September 3, 2015 by TestaOn

We had a discussion about it on the show because it has been a hot topic of late. I hope you'll find it an interesting segment. We also interviewed Richard Spitalny (president of First Star Software), and he had a lot to say about the subject, as well as things about intellectual property rights.

First Spear #20 Posted September 3, 2015 I am with you 100% on that. For the video game community maybe set the numbers to like 400-500 units for crossing the homebrew three hold, and it's clear. If we are going to borrow the word "homebrew" from the beer-making community we should adapt to their definitions on some way as well. I think we (snip)
TestaOn #21 Posted September 4, 2015 (edited) First things first... we need to form the Retrogaming Hombrewer's Association so that brewers can lobby us to change the rules after we establish them to fit their needs (ala Sam Adams who keeps pushing up the limit on "craft brew" status.) 👀🍻 Edited September 4, 2015 by TestaOn

+nurmix #24 Posted September 4, 2015 Blow off the editing - we need a new episode! Not sure you'd want an 8 hour show filled with throat clearing, false starts and host chit chat - not to mention a complete lack of music, game sound drops, etc. Maybe on April 1st...
