jwild #3126 Posted May 9, 2021 TI-99/4A High Score Competition May 2021 Game of the Month Junkman Junior I have a feeling the music will drive us all crazy, but that’s what a volume knob is for. Looks similar to the famous Commodore 64 Title Jumpman Junior. If you are Commodore 64 nerd, also check out the game “Wizard” that is similar to Jumpman Junior. It was my little sister’s favorite video game for many years. Good Luck! junkmanC.BIN junkmanD.BIN

+pixelpedant #3128 Posted May 10, 2021 Really glad this is the pick for this month. I've never given this game a good enough shot. And I know it has some big fans in the community.
+pixelpedant #3129 Posted May 10, 2021 Junkman Junior manual (in two variants), incidentally: https://pixelpedant.com/items/show/117 The second's easier to read.
Tetlee #3130 Posted May 10, 2021 Another I've never played which is cool, seems another interesting one too. My first go with no idea what was going on, thanks to the instructions above I'll have a read and have more idea.

I may not play the games much (that task goes to @iliketurtles), but I am usually pretty good at finding things, LOLOL. Many thanks! 1

Ed in SoDak #3135 Posted May 15, 2021 1560 Sorry, no screenshot, I don't think I could reproduce that if pressed for proof. I suck at ladder/jumper games in general. Must be my joystick. Yeah, I'm sure of it! The manual states Difficulty 1 is wicked fast, while 9 is naptime slow. Wicked sense of humor there. 1

+pixelpedant #3137 Posted May 23, 2021 And a bit better there. I think Difficulty 7 is my favourite at this point.

Count9929A #3139 Posted May 28, 2021 I really like the game, but this month I have no time...almost. My small score:
+pixelpedant #3140 Posted May 28, 2021 Yeah, I feel like this one does take time, to master, too. Each stage is different, and kind of needs to be "learned". The sheer variety they offer is pretty great, though. I imagine some folks would be familiar with all that via the game's "official" (Jumpman) iterations, though. Never played those and this wasn't one of the DBT carts I owned. So I'm really just learning it now.
Count9929A #3141 Posted May 30, 2021 7475 at speed 1, on MAME 60hz I really like the game, it's a pity I don't have time. I will play it a lot in the next months!

Tetlee #3144 Posted June 9, 2021 Hmm, I have my TI99 all packaged up ready to go off for a recap, but this looks a fun game so might have to get it back out for a quick go at this before I send it away.
