+Ksarul #732 Posted June 3, 2016 SpotShot is an 8K ROM game. . .it may also be identified as Dragon Flyer, as DBT changed the name after a while to make it look like something new (they did that with a lot of their software).

Yep, found it. Thanks Ksarul. One thing about this game REALLY irritates me though... the demo gets higher scores than I do! Memory expansion is not required that's cool.

Wierd that it's listed like this then: ./video/Chicago TI Fair 2014 Videos/Chicago TI Faire Disk 2014/BETORI/CARTRIDGENOMANUALS/GAMES/SPOT_SHOT/SPOTG.BIN
+Ksarul #735 Posted June 3, 2016 I admit, that is weird, Arcadeshopper! I have the cartridge though--and I've burned a couple of the ROMs as test ROMs for cartridge boards, as this is one of the Centipede-like games with its own twist, and I like Centipede-like games. . .

globeron #738 Posted June 11, 2016 1st try in JS99er.net (on Windows 10 64-bit) somehow did not perform well and score was around 21xx 2nd try Classic99 QI389 (windows 7 64-bit) performed better, using Wireless Oker (PS/3) type controllers (and the Game Kart 512K number 4 image) Score: 3150

jedimatt42 #741 Posted June 12, 2016 Another game I had never heard of. This one is challenging and fun... as usual, I thought I was doing well with a score 1/10th that of Globeron's. [email protected]
Iwantgames:) #742 Posted June 13, 2016 3,510 not even close to good enough
globeron #743 Posted June 14, 2016 (I have not tried it on the real TI-99/4A, because my kid took my LCD-screen). I think the trick is to create a "line of sight" to shoot the insects all the way at the right of the screen (higher points) and also the Dragon Fly you can pull it back to the left (so that insects can pass by up to a max of 4). +Ksarul #748 Posted June 18, 2016 (edited) That is waaaaay better than anything I have ever achieved with SpotShot, Marc--and I've played that with cartridge off and on since I bought it back in 1987 (or so, as I'd have to dig up my Tenex receipt for it to be sure of the exact purchase date). Then again, I really suck at most games. . . :lolblue: Edited June 18, 2016 by Ksarul
