Help! When booted, my Mega performs a memory check, attempts to boot the internal HDD...and promptly crashes, displaying four bombs.

 

When I interrupt the memory test, the computer boots normally (without hard drive).

 

When I unplug the HDD and use my external Megafile, the same thing occurs.

 

Can anyone advise what the problem might be, and how I might be able to fix the problem? (Getting a PC is not an option! )

why don't you try to run the hd driver after the successful boot, and see if the disk is readable? It just maybe that there are wrong startup programs in both your drives.
