Tenorman #1 Posted August 16, 2015 Stories about this game have been making the rounds as "Sonic's first home appearance". http://www.sonicretro.org/tag/the-adventures-of-quik-silva I downloaded the ST version and tried it out on my 1040STF. I think it has a pretty major problem: you have to be standing about 3/4 of the way to the right for the screen to scroll. This leads to a lot of blind jumping and cheap deaths with enemies you can't see. Has anyone else checked this game out? I'm kind of thinking that the reveiwer is being pretty generous unless the Amiga version really does play that much better.
ParanoidLittleMan #2 Posted August 16, 2015 I will look into it. May be that can change player position for scroll, with little luck . Checked Amiga version - there is no some big diff. Maybe just couple % in position where scroll starts. Surely not 3/4, it's rather 70%
Christos #3 Posted August 16, 2015 Let's not forget though that the amiga has a larger playarea so you can see more of the screen. A few ST games suffer when they are converted from the amiga due to this issue.
