RPM-Games has inked a deal to distribute Loadstar Compleat

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Just wanted to drop an announcement that RPM-Games has worked out a deal with Fender Tucker the long time editor of Loadstar magazine on disk to produce and distribute the "Loadstar Compleat" collection on CD-ROM.

In case you don't know Loadstar is a magazine on disk for Commodore 64 computers that was published for over 15 years.

This disk will include:

- Loadstar issues 1-199

- Scans of the magazine cover art for issues 2 through 30.

- 42 issues of Uptime Magazine.

- 42 issues of Loadstar 128 Quarterly.

- The complete text of the bible.

- A C64 multimedia presentation of all the flags and anthems of the world (circa 1998).

- and More!

The target price is somewhere between $30 and $35. I will be starting the RPM-Games website on May 1st, and Loadstar Compleat will be our first product for sale.

I am really excited to have worked out this deal with Fender as I have been a personal fan and sometimes author for Loadstar over the years.

Cheers!

Just to follow-up. Here is a mock-up of the artwork for the CD-ROM. The CD will come packaged inside a 5.25 Floppy disk sleeve to give it a nifty retro look.

Cheers!

Sorry, it was rather big wasn't it? I have shrunken it to a more reasonable size.

Cheers!

I was just kidding you...you spelled complete wrong also...unless you want it that way?

If you want I can send you over a kick ass graphic design for the label...I have a really good designer program...would be glad to help you out...no charge or anything...just an offer to help out.

Also...if you are doing CDR's I have a CD printer I could probably print the discs for you so that it's not a cheapo looking label...would not cost much to do a small run...depending on how many you think you will sell at a time.

Anyway...just an offer to help out.

Mock :D

That's the way its spelled in the contract, so that's the spelling I am going to use most likely.

You don't like my 10 minute hack job   :P

Thanks for the offer, but its not necessary.

Thanks for the offer to help, but I already have a printer lined up to do the job.

Cheers!

I decided to use www.mixonic.com to generate the CDs. They print any amount from 1 to n and they print the artwork right on the CD, no labels. I thought the pricing was very reasonable, and the web interface is top notch.

Cheers!
