Saving state in MESS?

What's the state (ahem) of save states in MESS? Pressing S-F7 will create a save state that can be loaded by pressing F7, but the results are ... interesting. The saved state for an Extended BASIC with PEB session, for example, looks awfully small:

But in all fairness MESS says right away that saving state is not officially supported for the TI emulation.

 

@Michael: Are there any plans of making this work? Is the dump incomplete to begin with, or does the restore not work properly right now?

Öm ... not at the moment. Let me put it like this: In all past 7 years that I've been working on the TI side of MESS I never cared about the state save feature, and accordingly broke some few parts that I inherited from the previous developer.

 

This means a considerable amount of work. I've put that on my list ... with a medium priority.
