We need a .... RETRO COMMERCIAL for the TI-99/4A!

Recommended Posts

Does anyone in the group have any cool video editing software? Would you be willing to use your expertise to make a 'NEW' Retro-Commercial for our TI?

Something to 'BRAG' about the new devices and capabilities available for it. Who knows, maybe even a series of commercials. It might might even bring us some new or returning users.

Many of us might be willing to supply some photos or video for inclusion.

In my personal opinion it might not be enough just to throw together some video clips and photos, but that depends on the expectations of course. I think if the final result should look great you need some "cheesy" storyboard and actors that look like from the early 80s. :-D

But that will be quite some effort to do then.

Yeah, having seen the high quality stuff you do, I'm sure you know best. I guess I was just thinking small, focusing more on 'the rich new features' of the TI-99/4A. If anyone here is an expert, it's YOU! :)

Not quite a cheesy or as long as one video I remember... although it was funny, it was something like:

Kayprolectatoridore99/IIE or something similar.

I also remember that Kayprolectatoridore99/IIE video or however it was called, it was a bit long, but quite funny. :D

Idea for an advert!!!, Rasmus is sent back in time armed with a truckload of smooth scrolling trilogy cartridges, the plan is to prevent CBM taking over the planet with their evil 64's. The evil head of the CBM corporation decides to send one of his killer "Tramiel 800" robots (played by VectrexRoli) to defeat our Danish hero, Rasmus defeats the evil Tramiel 800 by pouring Carlsberg Elephant Lager on it's electrics-thus rendering the evil Tramiel 800 completely pissed and useless,(Carlsberg Elephant tends to do this).

Hooray!!!!-the future has been saved, all the kids are now buying 4a's with the new killer smooth scrolling trilogy cartridge, Rasmus comes back to the present to discover everything is rosy in the garden-but is pissed off in equal measure because he has no programming experience with the new TI/99/256.

It needs a bit of work, but Fox and Disney are already showing interest.
