omf #1 Posted September 4, 2015 due to my resent uselessness with regards to the object list getting values wrong and head scratching for hours trying to work it out i have decided to write a nice editor for the object list my plan at first anyway is to create this in access to allow adding and deleting objects etc and re ordering them as needed. the data will then be output in some way (which i have not decided upon yet) so that it can be copied into rapinit.s i plan on getting the program to do the calculation fields like 'sprite_framesz' field automatically so the user doesn't have to be bothered with it would this be something people would like to see as a eventual release to the public?
+Sporadic #2 Posted September 4, 2015 Sounds like a cool idea to me. I toyed with the idea of building a list editor too but something else shiny shiny came along and distracted me....
omf #3 Posted September 29, 2015 (edited) thought i should update this, due to some people who i wont name, felt that the program being in access (for my ease of programming) was not going to help the programs use due to having to find a most probably copy of office to use it with i am currently writing it again in a format that will let me distribute an executable, this is taking some time however. some of the native features that are available in access simply do not exist in visual basic so a different method or the same method has to be programmed to obtain the same effect. i think i am about half way through my battle at the moment but progress is being made slowly screen shot is how it is now, of course this may or may not change depending on how i do the project and object selection etc: Edited September 29, 2015 by omf
