+intellivotion #28 Posted September 6, 2015 (edited) btw, congratulations to Toby and the winner. I'm going to drink hemlock (for the record, I had to check the word "hemlock" on a dictionary) Edited September 6, 2015 by intellivotion
JasonlikesINTV #29 Posted September 6, 2015 btw, congratulations to Toby and the winner. I'm pretty sure that Toby WAS the winner.
JasonlikesINTV #30 Posted September 6, 2015 BTW, in light of recent events, I'm officially offering my copy of Blix for a CIB copy of 4-Tris
Atari_Bill #31 Posted September 6, 2015 Still kicking myself for not buying the copy I had in my hand at CGE. I didn't want to spend the 30 dollars for it. Stupid stupid! I could have sold it to finally pick up a Congo Bongo box. 😡

JasonlikesINTV #34 Posted September 6, 2015 Wait for a third to be sold for a better average price. I can't imagine it selling any higher than this. I wouldn't think twice about offering it up for 4-Tris....or RR or LofL.
+intellivotion #35 Posted September 6, 2015 This auction (= Toby) benefited from some excess. Look at the bid history: there are three sad losers who bid more than $ 400...
wolfy62 #36 Posted September 6, 2015 It is the only unboxed game ever released for the the Intellivision, If you don't have it, have no regrets. The game is ok, the sound sucks and overall you are not missing much by not owning it. If I am wrong, please feel free to correct me, I love the history of all the games! Alex.Pace #37 Posted September 6, 2015 I'm thinking Alex may have been one of the bidders? No, I already have mine (paid about 300$ some months ago). I just knew it would have gone up, so 300$ was a good price to my opinion. And it will go always up, 30 pieces are really a few, there are at least 100 "serious" intellivision collectors in the world who wants it, so next one will go higher. Anyway, it was sold about the price I told:)

BBWW #39 Posted September 6, 2015 (edited) I bet they made 60 to start with.... So now 30X500 = $15,000. Not bad. I think this is a great model to duplicate for everybody. What a fucking ripoff. But how do I really feel! Edited September 6, 2015 by BBWW
+Lathe26 #40 Posted September 7, 2015 This auction (= Toby) benefited from some excess. Look at the bid history: there are three sad losers who bid more than $ 400... I agree. With 3 people without Blix bidding >$400, we'll being seeing a high price for Blix for a while. I knew it would go up in price, but wow!

+Tarzilla #42 Posted September 7, 2015 I'm actually surprised someone hasn't dumped it and duplicated it, from what I remember it was just a recycled cart with a printed label. Hell, I could probably rewrite and duplicate the actual game in a weekend with IntyBasic. The only problem would be authentically duplicating the sound bug people have reported. There doesn't appear to be serial numbers either.
BBWW #43 Posted September 7, 2015 This is what I'm saying 30 games will multiply to 100 at that price...

There doesn't appear to be serial numbers either. It's been dumped and has circulated widely. It would be trivial to flash onto a board and put in a recycled shell with a shitty inkjet printed label. Spiker at least takes a bit of effort to fool someone. This one? How the hell would one authenticate it? But of course people will just be upset that I'm pointing out how trivial it is to counterfeit this "$500 value" item.

It would be somewhat easy to look at the PCB inside to tell if it is the CGE release.
+freewheel #47 Posted October 5, 2015 It would be somewhat easy to look at the PCB inside to tell if it is the CGE release. Possibly, assuming the boards are manufactured unique enough. Somehow I doubt they silkscreened "CGE 2014" on them. I guess anything's possible. More importantly, are people in the habit of opening the shells of games they just spent $500+ on? JasonlikesINTV #50 Posted October 5, 2015 You have OCD too, don't you? I have my moments, but it's not crippling or anything. My girlfriend may disagree I've definitely struggled to find balance over the past 4 years. Much like my phobia of speed bumps...I'm slowly getting over it
