Philflound #1 Posted September 17, 2015 (edited) I just picked up a batch of boxed games from Canada and have 2 different catalogs with 5 languages from 1982. One has 44 games listed and has silver boxes, which is cool for boxes that never existed. I'm going to scan both catalogs and send them to Al for AA. Hopefully he'll post them. I'll put up a few pics of each so you can see them. The second catalog has games in their respective color, or a few that had changed color. There are several boxes I've never seen before. Since this catalog was published in 1982, all copyrights should be 1982 or earlier on the box and should have 5 languages. There are some boxes that have been published with less than 5 languages, so I'm noting the titles of boxes with 5 languages that should exist but I have no proof. Boxes that should exist is Berzerk (orange box, exists with fewer languages), Breakout (exists with 1986), Codebreaker, Concentration in a blue box (this would be cool), Hangman, Basketball, Football, Home Run, Air Sea Battle, and Canyon Bomber (box looks orange). There is also the Defender box, which looks purple, but I'm thinking that was changed to the normal blue. If anyone can confirm any of the above boxes, I'd appreciate scans. Thanks. Philflound #2 Posted September 18, 2015 (edited) Here is the 1st catalog. I have documented what looks to be the same exact catalog but printed in Netherlands. Much of my original info is from Jerry Greiner's price guide, which he listed tons of info about the catalogs. I've actually confirmed the majority of the catalogs that they exist (I believe 27 or 28 out of 33 so far). I'm sure I'll be running across other catalogs. Anyway, I've attached some photos of the 1st catalog here to give you an idea what some of the games would have looked like in silver boxes. I've included the RS Basketball page. Also in this lot of items, I got a Master Game Score Book and Player Tips for 18 Atari Games. this was written in both English and French and definitely made by Atari in 1983. I've never seen this item before either. I've added it to the giant list of variations at the end under all my documentation. I'll be uploading a more recent list to the website, though it's still not fixed. Anyway, I'll get some scans of the 2nd catalog with the 5 language boxes hopefully tomorrow. Each catalog is 32 pages and I can't fit more than one page per scan, so that would be a total of 64 scans to do. spawnshop #5 Posted September 19, 2015 I just picked up a lot of boxes/manuals and it has a Defender box and Manual that has 5 languages. The box is blue and is very similar to the original, but the manual is THICK! It's basically the manual translated into the 5 languages. I laughed as it fell out of the box and onto the floor when I was going through stuff.....thinking, "another catalog", but it wasn't. Is this a common box/manual? Do you want to see some pics? ***EDIT*** I just saw the box scan that you have on your VGV page - I have the second one. I assume you have the manual too, but i don't see if on the site. Philflound #6 Posted September 20, 2015 I don't know what manuals I have. I may have that 5 language one from 1981. Just because I have scans of boxes does not mean I own the box. I don't own the majority of what is scanned. I'd have to have a lot of room and a lot of money to own it all. Manuals take up so much time to scan that they are the last thing on my mind to do. I didn't get around to scanning the other 5 language manual yet, and today is my anniversary, so it won't happen today either. Phil
