RS-232 / Ethernet Four Outlet Power Controller

Since the X-10 power controller is no longer readily available, I wonder, has anyone ever used one of these devices on their TI? I remember back in the early 90's a fellow TI'er had something very similar that he got from work when it was rendered 'obsolete'. It seems like a 'cool toy' to hang off the TI.

 

With the proper software (that does not yet exist on the TI) one could use their TI for all kinds of cool stuff, even a remote restart device for a classic BBS system.

 

They are selling these << HERE >>, but I wonder if they can be had cheaper elsewhere?

No joke, the newer one "exploded" last week.......

 

But I can remember that they each were about 250 Euros (years ago), and are still expensive today.

 

So your price here is really good, Omega.
