making an Alpiner clone

Recommended Posts

I like to make minigames using the Warioware game maker on the Nintendo DS.

Here is a little Alpiner clone I started. (It's not finished yet)

The whole point of the Warioware series is to play through a gauntlet of rapid-fIre mini games. The unique feature of this entry was that it included a game creator mode. The limitations are one of reasons it appeals to me, as it forces me to keep the scope of my game making endeavors small enough that I will actually have time to finish them.

I really like this. :) Alpiner is one of my favorite games, so seeing it on another platform is kind of neat.

Thank you for sharing.

Yeah, that's kind of neat, especially since ports involving the TI usually do not go in that direction!

I dig that. ;)

This is a great fun project! Can you share those games with other DS owners, or do others need the game maker as well?

It's been a while since I played WarioWare, but I think those games were even shorter, just a couple of seconds. Hey, you could fit an entire Return to Pirate's Isle into 15 seconds! :)

I'm not very savvy when it comes to online game features, I have never tried it... I know that at one point it was possible to share games to others (who owned warioware DIY), but I believe that the Nintendo has discontinued their online service for that system, so I don't know if it possible anymore
