GONE - Sony Wega 32" Trinitron CTR TV with Matching Stand - Houston, TX

Recommended Posts

I have this on my local craigslist but since it would be perfect for retro gaming I thought I'd put it up here. Obviously its for local pickup only. The days of it being worth shipping a TV this big and heavy are LONG gone! Comes with macthing TV stand with molded corner pieces that the TV "locks" into. Still has a beautiful screen and a full compliment of inputs. I'm pretty sure I have the remote to will include it. This is my last big CRT still in use in a spare room. It was a living room TV but was demoted when we got a n LCD. The wife wants to get rid of the big armoire and TV. I would use this for my Atari and Sega but it won't fit in that entertainment center.

One of the best sets you can find if you plan on using classic consoles with standard hookups (composite/component/s-video)!

Yeah free bump for a great TV...I also have a 32 inch wega somewhat like this and love it for old school.

What sets these apart (other than being a top notch crt) is the stand and getting it with the stand isn't always easy!

OMG, those 40's are freaking massive! There were some big but manageable 36" CRT's but anything above that is just a beast! On top of being crazy heavy the necessary depth just made them almost impossible to find a place for.

I have the same exact TV. Takes up a lot of room in my basement but it is absoliutely PERFECT for vintage consoles. Everything is crystal clear utilizing S-Video! :)

Ok, how about $30? Any takers at that price?

Awesome price, but it seems you do not have a location listed. Having that might help a bit.

I do indeed. It's in the thread title. Houston. South side to be exact.

Little too far south of me... damn.

(Rhode Island... just a short hop) ;)

Pshhh, shipping should be cheap. I think the TV only weighs like 200 pounds + the stand. No problem. Call NAVL..lol

I started to put that info in the post but then figured nobody cared. My Sister-In-Law's sister lost her house in a Fire. She's got a new place and I'm giving her a bunch of spare stuff I had like a Kitchen table and chairs, spare home theater system, as well as This TV and another similarly large one. They aren't HD but since they have component video inputs you can hook them up to HD devices set to 480i and get a pretty good looking picture. I knew the Sony would be particularly useful to them since it has a stand and everything.
