Famicom Disk System find...

Recommended Posts

Somebody just gave me a Famicom Disk System w/ 30 or so games plus a crap load of different Famicom pirate multicarts. This is great!! A whole box full of stuf but no console. The problem is, I don't know much about Famicom or how to get one so I need to get some help. I don't own a Famicom but would like to get one (or something compatibile) so I can start enjoying this stuff with my son. Does anybody know much about these or where I can get a Famicom? Ebay just doesnt have much to offer. I have a cart adaptor to use most of the Famicom carts in my NES so that is solved for the most part. I have a double sized Famicom cart that must weigh 1 lb that doesnt fit into my NES so I would like to get a system to see what games are on the cart. Plus, it would be great to get the disk system working on a system as well. If anybody has any help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This site has good information about Famicom stuff:

This site here sells the Famicom with the A/V inputs, I don't know if they still have copies of this model. I heard the original version of the Famicom does not work with TVs in Canada or US:
