MotoRacer #1 Posted December 3, 2015 (edited) Figured this would be fun. Post pics of a cart label that is flat out weird, funny, or confusing! I'll start off with F-Zero for the Super Famicom. Where Nintendo inexplicably decided to put a whole paragraph of exposition. "THIS IS THE FIRST ADVENTURE OF OUR NEW HERO, "CAPTAIN FALCON". LITTLE IS KNOWN ABOUT HIM, EXCEPT THAT HE WAS BORN IN THE CITY OF "PORT TOWN" AND HAS BECOME THE GALAXY'S GREATEST PRIZE HUNTER." Whew! What a mouthful. And what's with all the quotes everywhere? And the personal info? He's from "port town", he likes "long walks on the beach", is a "Taurus".... Edited December 3, 2015 by MotoRacer
HoshiChiri #2 Posted December 3, 2015 (edited) I have never understood this one. I also got a kick out of the original Demon Attack label. Definitely one of those 'so bad it's awesome' pics. Edited December 3, 2015 by HoshiChiri
Lentzquest #3 Posted December 3, 2015 (edited) Phalanx on the SNES: I seem to remember Lion King for the Game Boy being nothing but a wall of legal text as well. Edit: That baby from Super Bust-a-Move always was creepy as he looks spot-on Butterball from Hellraiser. Edited December 3, 2015 by Lentzquest

7800fan #5 Posted December 3, 2015 The first time I saw these, I thought it was some weird zombie game or something based on that spooky eyes and laser beam to the forehead. Ok not a cart label but some box art had this rather than other version that looked better: If I were to pick game by the cover, I would have bought the latter for sure, it looked like futuristic action game. Zombie game that had that weird cover wouldn't have sold me if I didn't know what Flashback was.
HoshiChiri #6 Posted December 3, 2015 This single handedly takes the cake. Z0049180.jpg That... is genuinely horrifying. Like it's some sort of monster game with a wrestler attacking his own disembodied head.

The CD-i release had a neato, futirustic looking one as well : Most Phoenix games are pretty WTF : One I have is Crackout : It's a sort of breakout with ennemy and a story (as much as you can make a story out of Breakout) It's one of those very rare games that originated from Japan, and was exported to Europe, but apparently not in the USA, a rare fact for a NES game. MotoRacer #9 Posted December 4, 2015 I like yahtzee's box art show better, personally. But yeah, avgn did talk about the wrestling game for master system recently.
