Arcade Expo 2016 in SoCal

Recommended Posts

The Arcade Expo is making a return to Banning, CA, in 2016 -

January 15-17. I'm going to try to make that, last year's expo was fantastic. I can only hope a few games that weren't there last time make an appearance this time. I really want to play Space Firebird again, haven't seen that game in a while.

January 15, 2016

Added a Gallery of almost all the pics I took today

Pictures can't do this justice, even the walkthru videos don't capture the size of this event.

Besides the Arcade area and the Pinball area there was a red curtain area with "adult" pinball games. Sexy Girl pinball was hilarious. It was hard to follow the ball when a video screen embedded in the middle of the playfield kept showing naked women

Outside there was also a section of mechanical shooting gallery style machines, a stage for live bands and another area with the new Game of Thrones and Walking Dead pinball machines.

Saturday is full of panels and events.

I think this one was done a little better than last year. A few more arcade games than last time, I was really happy to see Rip-Off, for example. Still no Sega vector games, though, that is very odd. They had a bar set up in the room with the giant Bowl-O-Rama mechanical bowling alley game. And the food was more varied, too. I wish I'd had more time there but I got to play most of the games there that I liked. Hopefully next time there will be a Major Havoc with a roller vs. the Tempest spinner conversion that was there. Still, can't complain, it was wonderful to see all the games and hear them, though I wish they would have had the sound on some games up more.

I encourage everyone within driving distance of that place to go the next time they have an expo like that, you won't be sorry.
