ussexplorer #1 Posted April 17, 2003 After scanning though Atari Age again. I noticed some scanned letters from Atari. I was wondering who else wrote Atari and received letters. During my Atari collecting I decided to type a letter to Atari asking them what items / carts they had left for the 2600. Sure enough, I received a letter listing the remaining items available for the 2600 system. I posted a more complete post in the atari 7800 group. This is the 2600 portion of the post. Thanks, Josh
videotwit #2 Posted April 17, 2003 I wrote to them waaaay back when I started collecting, and still have the responces somewhere. I also still have some responce letters from 3rd party manufacturers, too (Parker Bros and Coleco for sure, plus some others IIRC).
Dan Iacovelli #3 Posted April 17, 2003 I don't have letters from Atari but I do have most of the Pr's about the Lynx and the Jaguar. Back in the day: I had connections with Atari. I used to chat with bob brodie at the RTC on GEnie. he use to recieve the Atari Zone newlsetters too(they were one of our first corprate sponsors (Telegames was the the other) after bob left atari I got to talk dom thomas at SCES94 in chicago and he took over where bob left off(Don is still a member of AVC and still recieves the issues). I also talked to Thomas Crosby who used to do PR For the entertainment division which used to be in lombard,IL(I don't think it's near where VGS is going to be). Xot #4 Posted April 17, 2003 Umm... dumb question. Where on the site IS this section? I actually have one or two of these myself, it'd be interesting to see how "personal" they actually are.
