IEEE Potentials Heads Up

Recommended Posts

Hello. Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but it does heavily concern the 2600. I just wanted to let you know the IEEE Potentials magazine for April/May 2003 came with a supplement entitled "Ways to Play the Game Invoking the Standard Rules". It is basically an overview of the gaming industry over the years. One section entitled "The Atari Years" goes over the industry overview listing the two generations, rival platforms, introduction dates, and operating performance (CPU, Bit, ROM). It also has a table with each company's hardware share, VCS cartridge share, and the price changes each underwent. There probably isn't anything in the supplement that most of you don't know, but its still a good read.

Scanning the article is no problem, but I have nowhere to post it. Its too long to post here. If someone has a place for it, please let me know and I'll send it to you.

How big is it? I might at least like to see the images, though I'm not sure I have the space to host them either.

The article is 18 pages long. The images have been sent to wgungfu, so hopefully he can find a place for them.
