ReddMcKnight
I can't find a single Jaguar CD Unit anywhere, hence my question. Also, will the Dev CD Unit play regular CDs/Carts?
sh3-rg
It should do, but there are revisions and there's some murky waters regarding the software that drives the units. I have a couple of different units - one seems very early, is bare and has an odd daughter board setup with socketed chips, another simply looks and acts as a regular unit bar doing the hash check and has a rainbow-coloured cable dangling and maybe another. Robert's page has some info on the different BIOS version iirc. Some of the info might be a little out of date, but I think it explains enough for you: http://rdemming.home.xs4all.nl/Atari/JaguarCD/index.htm
TXG/MNX
Hi it does not work it needs a jaguar with stub '94 rom. But it will boot encrypted & unencrypted cd's but thats all. Some need the attached falcon dsp port adapter in a certain mode to boot other will boot without them. Best find a retail cd last few months some unused where sold for reasonable price on ebay but also on flea markets. I think the best deal is to buy a complete set and sell all stuff you need after that. Sent from UMI hammer with Tapatalk
