Andromeda Stardust #11001 Posted February 12, 2017 Here is the bus that you store all the other action figures under: LOL! I hope he doesn't round the corner too fast in that thing, or he'll be REKT! Just like a Chameleon...
Schizophretard #11002 Posted February 13, 2017 LOL! I hope he doesn't round the corner too fast in that thing, or he'll be REKT! Just like a Chameleon... But the bus is magic. Simple as that.

Keatah #11004 Posted February 14, 2017 On a different note, with no intention to derail the current discussion, I just noticed that the Atariage store is everything MK dreamed of. Just perhaps on a smaller scale. Nothing can be as big as an MK dream, can it? But it works and is real. The Harmony/Melody cartridge allows for a user to send a cart back to AA for reflashing. https://atariage.com/store/index.php?l=page_view&p=atariage_melody "If a revised version of a game is made available and you own it in Melody-based form, we will upgrade the game at no charge except for shipping. Simply send the cartridge back to us and pay for return shipping and we'll upgrade your cartridge for free." Additionally there's a whole Atari ecosphere surrounding the VCS, and to a lesser extent the other Atari systems. It includes excellent emulators, community, discussion, programming tools and reference, and more.

This was what always simultaneously tickled me and pissed me off about the Chameleon- everything Mike wanted to create already existed, just in a form he didn't have a total monopoly over.
Keatah #11006 Posted February 14, 2017 Seems like MK wanted a turnkey ecosphere. Such things take time and have to evolve organically.
Andromeda Stardust #11007 Posted February 15, 2017 I got my last issue of ReadRetro today. Still I feel dumb for backing year two. Now MK will never get another cent from me nor does he owe me anything... *breaks into happy dance* My cover has Coleco Mouse Maze on it btw.

Andromeda Stardust #11009 Posted February 16, 2017 The lateness of these issues is astounding. I recieved issue ten in February 2016, and issue 12 in February 2017. I don't think MK understands the concept of periodical.

I don't think MK understands the concept of periodical. Could be in his is own pocket universe, time flows differently and is all relative. Periodical might be one month sometimes or 2 years. You are still going to get the crappy emails though.

I don't think MK understands the concept of periodical. Somewhat it does. You have to hand it to him: "In the end you got it, PERIOD." See what I did, that's what makes it PERIODical .... gosh kindergarten jokes are funnier than this one. Sorry, long day.
godslabrat #11013 Posted February 17, 2017 The issue was delayed. Obviously he made it even better.
+GoldLeader #11014 Posted February 17, 2017 I believe the writers were instructed to make the issue bug free. OK Now I'm doing it. I'm trying to sleep with the help of some pills,....Now I don't want to blame the drugs...But I laughed at both the above posts. (I love this thread!)... Anyone get the issue with the Atari on the cover?
Flojomojo #11015 Posted February 17, 2017 I wonder if we can find the exact time that this thread jumped the shark? We're grasping at straws nowadays. This thread needs more MK shenanigans, but he's been quiet and significantly less ridiculous lately. Newcomers Lythium and Retroblox simply aren't as fun, they're making some big claims but they haven't shown us pants-on-head incompetence yet. I'm feeling the emptiness of when arcade games dried up, or a favorite console or magazine goes out of production. The MK reality show has been cancelled and there don't seem to be any spinoff replacements.
godslabrat #11016 Posted February 17, 2017 This thread could have jumped the shark several times, but each time it seems to be ready to end, Mike manages to do something stupid all over again. Recall, not only did he try to sell defective controllers as NES Classic accessories, but he had the bright idea to come HERE to drum up publicity for them. I admit, as much as I think it benefits the hobby for him to go away, he's become my favorite source of entertainment.
toiletunes #11017 Posted February 17, 2017 I'm going with the DVR Capture card. Even with SNEZZ-gate, there was a chance (however slim) for MK to pull a miracle out of his ass. There was no coming back after DVR-gate.

There was no coming back after DVR-gate. So, just over a year ago. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/247145-coleco-chameleon-hardware-speculations/?p=3454383 I think it was after that, when MK tried to blame his "hardware guy" and quoted some legal opinion, saying "there was more in the public record, you just need to know where to look." The real shark-jumping probably began when we started examining the thread itself, just like I'm doing now.

toiletunes #11021 Posted February 18, 2017 Just because, here's a Silent Hill doormouse. Stupid and pointless? Perhaps- but still more real than a RVGS Chameleon ever was, is, will be.
cybercylon #11022 Posted February 18, 2017 You never know... his face might suddenly pop out behind a Retroblox...... There are times where I wish I knew how to program... we could have fun games like Where's MK, or an 8 bit dungeon crawler where at random levels, you can find the hidden Mr. Lee.
Andromeda Stardust #11023 Posted February 18, 2017 Anyone get the issue with the Atari on the cover? Mine got the Colecovision cover. At first I thought "Oh Cool, K.C. Munchkin," but then I looked closer and it was definitely Colecovision Mouse Trap. K.C. Munchkin is an Intellivision game...
Andromeda Stardust #11024 Posted February 18, 2017 I think it was entertaining up until 10 minutes ago... Just kidding! I am still entertained by it! (Maybe not as much...But still entertained)... Very much entertained. Not because I supported both RetroMag Kickstarters, a decision I regret deeply, but for my group participation award and honorary inductee into the AtariAge Hater Brigaters. I will cherish that badge always!

Retroblox concept of "hybrid emulation" qualifies somewhat, at least according to ledgendary hackers like Kevtris.
