+Tarzilla #1 Posted January 16, 2016 I am at Arcade Expo, opening day was great. Got to play some 70s arcade games I forgot existed. Got a chance to talk to this gentleman for a bit. Looking forward to his panel with the programmer of Utopia. My friend brought his Tron Solar Salon and Utopia copies to be signed. Posting this from a phone sucks
+Tarzilla #2 Posted January 16, 2016 Don Daglow, creator of Intellivision Utopia, will be doing a panel with Keith Robinson at 2pm saturday, there may be a couple of others that might show up but Don is confirmed. I've added a gallery of pictures from the first day, only one picture of the Intellivision booth but I hope to take a bunch more tommorow, and maybe record the panel. The gallery function is damn handy, way better than uploading one by one.
+Tarzilla #3 Posted January 16, 2016 The one thing I forgot to take a picture of was the Astrosmash NES cartridge that was running at the booth. I'll try to remember on Saturday. As it was explained, back when the early Intellivision games were licensed for the first plug and play device, the games were actually rewritten to run on the NES-on-a-chip boards, someone basically ripped the Astrosmash game out of the plug and play and put it onto an actual Nintendo cart, complete with label. It was running on a top loader NES clone. Looked the same to me but I couldn't hear it over all the arcade noise.
Games For Your Intellivision #4 Posted January 16, 2016 There is an NES Intellivision emulator that can play the original rom. You have to scroll back and forth but it works fine.
Eric7100 #5 Posted January 16, 2016 Hmm... I thought you meant that you got banned from the Arcade Expo!
pimpmaul69 #6 Posted January 16, 2016 Hmm... I thought you meant that you got banned from the Arcade Expo! the original site info was worse. It just said arcade expo banning. Leaving out the word "in". So i was curious what people were getting banned for. I was dissapointed.

+Tarzilla #10 Posted January 18, 2016 After the panel, there was an autograph session back at the Intellivision booth. Don signing my friends's Utopia box. The Astrosmash NES cartridge running on a Retron. The cartridge is the recreated/reporgrammed Astrosmash that was part of the first Intellivision Lives style plug-and-play device that used a Nintendo-On-A-Chip system. Someone ripped out the Astrosmash game and made it run on a real NES.

pimpmaul69 #15 Posted January 18, 2016 Is there a NES ROM floting around? I want to try it on my Famicom EverDrive N8it was ripped from the intellivision plug n play that used an nes on a chip. Not sure if it is floating around or not.
+Tarzilla #16 Posted January 18, 2016 Was there anything of interest mentioned, or spoke about, on the Intv panel? I video recorded it, Paul will see if the audio can be cleaned up and used on the Intellivisionaires podcast. I heard a couple of things I hadn't heard before, plus many things I have heard on the podcasts or other panels.
Games For Your Intellivision #17 Posted January 18, 2016 (edited) NES Rewrite or emulation of the original that scrolls? Hard to decide. Whichever you prefer, the emulation of the Intellivision (a 16 bit system) on an NES (an 8 bit system) is amazing. I can't believe it was done. And, as far as I know, no rom is floating around. NinjaWarrior #18 Posted January 19, 2016 I would buy Astrosmash on the NES if it comes out
