Rotgut #1 Posted February 10, 2016 I'm not getting replies to my messages/orders. Does anyone know? http://www.packratvg.com
Thomas Jentzsch #2 Posted February 10, 2016 I haven't heard anything different.
+save2600 #3 Posted February 10, 2016 Store looks open, with several titles "coming soon". In all these years, I've never bought from them. Besides the game offerings, anyone know what the quality of their carts and labels are like? Have been spoiled by the carts here at the AA store and have been hesitant to try anyone else out. Good Deal Games too for that matter.
Thomas Jentzsch #4 Posted February 10, 2016 I only own Jammed in a clear cartridge. The label is printed on the cart, you can even feel the letters.

Rotgut #6 Posted February 10, 2016 Thanks, guys. I'm trying to order an Odyssey 2 Multi-Cart from him. Reportedly, it's pretty great — and for $40! Can't beat that.
fmml #7 Posted February 10, 2016 Packrat is still active (last fb update last week). There are several projects David is working on currently, and there has been a backlog in O2 multicart orders for a while afaik. Just be patient, he will get back to you. ls650 #8 Posted February 10, 2016 I bought a couple of O2 carts from him about a year ago. Seemed reliable, though a bit pokey on emails.
+5-11under #9 Posted February 10, 2016 He's still around. I've had e-mail conversations with him within the last 2-3 weeks.
+wongojack #10 Posted February 10, 2016 I ordered from them last year and it was fine. The Vectrex game I got came with a case that was nicely done and the label quality was very good. I think the O2 game I ordered was obviously a re-used shell (one of them was), but I thought it looked fine.
50TBRD #11 Posted February 11, 2016 I'd recommend allowing at least a week for a reply from any homebrew developer. Video games are typically a part time job for these people and sometimes they only respond to emails once a week, if that often. I have spoken to David within the week. There are future plans for Packrat. No end anytime soon.
bretthorror #12 Posted February 11, 2016 (edited) Just an FYI to the OP, I sent them my order request on January 5, I believe and as of today, February 10, I still haven't received an invoice to be able to pay for my item. I followed up around the 20th and he said he was behind. Edited February 11, 2016 by bretthorror
50TBRD #13 Posted February 12, 2016 Packrat has posted on Facebook. There is a backlog of orders. More good news is they've posted a picture of the new color manual for VeCaves and mentioned that Thrust will receive a minor update to fix a bug in the unlockable bonus game. neotokeo2001 #14 Posted February 12, 2016 That reminds me, I should pull Wolfenstein and the other NEO games from Packrat since I have no agreement with the new owner.
Thomas Jentzsch #15 Posted February 12, 2016 What's the problem? I my case we assumed to continue as is.
neotokeo2001 #16 Posted February 13, 2016 (edited) What's the problem? I my case we assumed to continue as is. I get no royalties from any of the games so no problem there. Jared always helped me when I needed a few carts made so if he wanted to offer the games on his site that was O.K., but as far as I know I have never received any communication from the new owner. 50TBRD #17 Posted February 13, 2016 If you're going to talk to David, you should make a new agreement. He's a good guy to deal with that's why John Donzila picked him.
bretthorror #18 Posted February 15, 2016 (edited) Has anyone heard anything in the past few days? I put in my order request Jan. 5 and still nothing. I really, really need the game haha. Edited February 15, 2016 by bretthorror
ozyr #19 Posted November 21, 2016 I really should pop on AA more than I do. (Nice to see a few friends putting in good comments for me - thank you). As for the original post, as of November 2016, I am still behind on O2 Multi-cart orders in general. At this time, I'm at least a few months behind on the Multi orders (orders from earlier this year are done). Many reasons for this, but it is what it is (the reasons are personal, and I won't detail them here). All orders will be filled, in time... As for the label comment, good quality IMHO. Old Packrat used a different printer, so the printing was slightly raised. Labels I print are not raised in any way. Reply time to emails, anywhere from a few days to weeks, depending on what is going on in my life. As a few pointed out here, Packrat is not my full-time job (I wish it was, but I don't make near enough money with it). I reply when I can. Sorry if it seams slow at time, but can honestly say I am quicker than the prior owner (not that he was bad in anyway, but he was veeeery slow at replies. Just how it was and is). Neo, turns out we connected on FB, as the old email list I got from the prior owner was not 100% up to par. Hope that clears some things up. Better late than never. So put simply, Packrat Is In Business, and will be for a long time. Thank you, David 'Packrat' Flemming
