DZ-Jay #27 Posted February 14, 2016 Don't think DZ will go.....he is scared of me. Jahahaba Oh, man, I would love to, but I can't. It was too late for me to make plans for Saturday, and Sunday is... sacred. I can't ask Mrs. DZ if I can spend Valentine's day at a video game convention!! That sort of thing is unheard of!

fsuinnc #32 Posted February 14, 2016 This is the first I have heard of it. I live in the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill). I'm spending the weekend at the beach but might have made different plans if I had known. Despite the obvious geek stereotype, I think Valentine's Day weekend is a poor time for a gaming convention but I sure hope it is a great success. Maybe I can make it next years. Rev #33 Posted February 14, 2016 Update on convention. A relatively small convention with a lot of future potential. A mix of arcade, modern/ipad/steam/developers/magic cards vendor booths. Kinda low attendance but kids are having fun. And a smash bros tourney. Eebuckeye recognized me by the intellivision revolution shirt.

+Tarzilla #43 Posted February 14, 2016 You're gonna like PRGE even better Yep, for perspective, those arcade games and console tables would have fit inside the Atari Age booth... Not to sound negative, any retro and or gaming show is good, but sometimes size does matter
eebuckeye #44 Posted February 14, 2016 I had fun.. worth the price of admission to meet Rev! :-) First year for it and they have plans for bigger and better of course... I pressed them for more retro next year and they claimed they were working on it and expanding a bunch...

I really think a mix of modern and A LOT more retro game (atari to snes) vendors would boost attendance. Looking forward to PRGE.

+freewheel #48 Posted February 15, 2016 Valentine's Day is a perfect time to hold something like this. So many people put their lives on hold because Hallmark told them today is the one and only day to be romantic. Those of us with any common sense end up with a wasted day as many of our friends get grounded. Although Deadpool was a FANTASTIC release for the weekend, I must say. Just don't take your 8 year old to it (it's not rated R in Canada, and parents are muy stupido).

Those of us with any common sense end up with a wasted day as many of our friends get grounded. I went to church today, and our priest discussed how St. Valentine was a real person. His story of spreading love is also real. Hallmark didn't tell us anything.
